*eeee* Sounds scary. o.o *hugs* Something similar happened to me last night. All the hair on my arms suddenly stood up, I got dizzy, and it felt like something was just gawking at me. I didn't give it a chance to do anything before I fled to my side of the house (my room is clear on the other side of the house from the computer room). I'm not entirely sure what it was, as I didn't feel like sitting around and trying to read it while it was getting ready to sneak up on me. I just grabbed my amethyst bracelet, my piece of jade, and high-tailed it outta there.

I doubt it was human, though, whatever it was. >.> Very few of the entities in my house are actually human.

Woof - I was online, several windows open simultaneously, working on a project, watching/listening to something scary, and I suddenly felt freezing cold. My feet were already cold, and out of nowhere, my arms were icy.

I thought of myself being surrounded by white light, and the cold went away.

I said out loud, "If there's a spirit here that wants to bother someone, feel free to go next door and harass them!"

If you don't doubt your way out of them, personal wards are really the quickest and easiest way to protect yourself there is. Area wards take a bit more time and effort, but are also quite effective if they're done properly

Also, something that gets forgotten a lot, is that in many things of this nature, if you truly believe that you cannot be harmed or bothered by such things, that will be the case. Not always, mind you, but much of the time.

Mine are far more deserving of it. I would love it if their whole electrical system crashed on a regular basis - say, every time they even thought of turning on the stereo.

Andara Bledin, what's a personal ward, and how do you create one?

Generally speaking, wards are magical or spiritual constructs that are placed on objects, and tend to be at least semi-permanent. I like to set them around my places of residence to essentially deflect the attentions of anyone or thing that might intend harm.

You can do the same around your person, but without the anchor. The most common way is the "white sphere" method. It's very easy to visualize, and the intent is very clear.

Since I identify quite a bit with computers, I tend to visualize energy wireframe constructs. But what you visualize isn't important except in that you can visualize it as clearly as possible and focus on the meaning behind it.

            ....

Totally unrelated, but I just noticed your sig, and now I want to know where it came from.

It's from an episode of True Blood. Sookie is cleaning herself up after a vampire was staked right in front of her, and another vampire makes that memorable remark.
