    Not eating will make the reflux worse.

    Eat dairy. Not bread (the starch will make it worse) and lay off meat & aromatic veggies for a while. Carrots, dairy, and the like might help reduce the acid.

        Eat small, frequent meals. It keeps your acid more constant than fewer, more spaced out meals.

          Since we're giving home remedies, try honey and cinnamon mixed together. I don't know why it works, something about the compounds in it. If that doesn't work--and this is distasteful; I won't lie--take a tablespoon of white vinegar. It will burn going down, and it tastes bad, but it reduces the alkalinity of your stomach, which can actually be the cause of excess acid. It's awful medicine, but only for a few seconds. It is, however, instant relief, at least for me.
