Yes, I know, and I know that the Giants suck royally. I was rather upset with the Braves, though I'm still a die hard fan. I can't believe they didn't take the Giants out. I mean come ON it's Bobby Cox's *last season*! They couldn't do that for *him*?!

Sports... right.... i'mma be over here..... ignoring the sprots talk.... cause i just ain't ... yeah i got nothin' - I don't watch college, or professional; I don't care about hockey, baseball, football, soccer, basketball, volley ball, tennis, rugby, etc etc etc.... i watch the summer Olympics, women's gymnastics and that's about it.

I'm not big on sports, so maybe that's why I don't get hating a team.

I get hating players, coaches, owners, the city/college, but not the team. *shrug*

Most often it is due to rivalries, or something the hated team did to your beloved team.

Most of the teams I hate are as a result of rivalries (Univeristy of Arizona, Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco Giants).

Some are due to bitter memories (Ohio State--I'm still bitter about the '97 Rose Bowl).

Some I juts don't like. And most people would agree that you really don't need much of a reason to hate the New York Yankees (which I do) or the Dallas Cowboys (who I just don't like all that much).

Hating a team is part of the fun, I will state I hate the Angels. Granted, I don't hate any of the individual players, and if I actually met them, that would be cool.

That won't stop me from hissing at them when they are on TV. (except Matsui..him I like)



But ugh...the NYY game last night.....my Dad is a Red Sox fan....I am going there for dinner tonight....not looking forward to the teasing.

Season ends on Sunday the 24th and playoffs start the 28th ( i think. The only one I know for sure is the Seattle Game on the 31st since we are going)

I cheer for 2 teams in baseball, the Seattle Mariners and whoever is playing the Yankees.

And try being a Seattle sports fan. It was bad around here until the Sounders started playing.

So much hope at the beginning and so much fail by the end. At least the Huskies beat USC again
