Raps, the original is selling for 200 usd a pop. Disney only puts out movies every 10 years now (on dvd), so your best bet is to rent, try to find it on the interwebs (Youtube has bits, maybe even all of it... surprised I found those, honestly), or phone a friend.

Quite a bit cheaper over here. More than I'm willing to pay for an old movie, but...

        Asimov's "uncanny valley" was right.
CGI Jeff Bridges was horrifying to look at.

Plot was reasonably tight, but I wasn't blown away. Let it down, really.
Good but not great. Pretty much how my friends and I described it after seeing it.

How shall I put this politely? Oh yeah......BULLSHIT!

With about 60 seconds of searching online, found it for as low as $9.25 on dvd. Sure, I saw it for $200, but that was new and the high end of all prices. Can definitely get it much cheaper.

I went to see it with a friend a couple weeks ago. I've never actually seen the original Tron, so I have no idea how this one measures up, but I still liked it. We also had to see it in 3D because the theater my friend and I went to was only showing the fucker in 3D. It was kind of neat, but I had a splitting headache from the glasses by the time the film was done.

I was quite happy to see that Daft Punk scored the movie - very glad to see them still making music.

then what the hell was my sister looking at??
I always knew she was a space cadet...
EDIT: yeeaaahhh... wtf was up with the cgi on Bridges's face?? hee... towards the end, I thought the script picked up, 'specially in the philosophical realm, but that might just be me... also, was there a stinger in the credits? (ie film clip continuing something from the movie, like in the first Ironman )

I have no idea. I DO know that I found one Tron for $200, but apparently that was for stupid people who couldn't be bothered to do a little more searching for a better price!

I loved it (saw it in 2D). I was planning to see the original beforehand, but never got around to it and I don't think it was actually necessary. Loved the light jets.

A couple reviewers were complaining that Flynn wasn't wandering around awestruck for fifteen minutes immediately upon being dropped into the Grid (I didn't know the protagonist is supposed to say "hold off attacking me, I wanna explore first"

There was something after the credits?!? I told dad we should have stayed to watch them all...
