cinema, there's supposed to be one more episode this year. Its not gone yet. But yes, it sucks. Of course, have you noticed that ALL the tv shows are doing that now? Before the strike, a season was 20-22 episodes. Ever since then, they've gotten lazy and are only giving between 10 and 13 episodes (at least on American television). Its disgusting.

I will always love Eccleston. (He was my first after all <3). He was manic and all over the place, and it was awesome. While Tennant was easy on the eyes, for me he suffered from spectacularly horrific writing, but did a great job with what he had to woke with. (I am not a Davies fan AT ALL).
Smith is doing an amazing job, he has the manic old man in a young body down to a science, and it's great. I'm also a Moffat fan. There were quite a few during Davies reign that were only Meh for me, but I throughly enjoyed every Moffat episode that he did then, and continue to do so now.
Also, HOLY SHIT the last episode! This was one that I actually didn't call before hand. I mean, I called the River/Doctor thing, but really? Rory is gonna kill the Doctor.

David Tennant was funny, and warm, and exciting. By the time his time in the series was done, even I thought he was just incredibly sweet and cute.
I think Smith is just ok. He has this... meanness, a kind of vindictive streak, about him that I don't like. David Tennants Dr was never like that. He managed to humanize the Dr and the character learned a few valuable lessons that seem to have gone out the window with Smith's.
River Song is soooo bad ass. She's my favorite companion ever.

I guess that's my issue. I couldn't put my finger on it. But The Doctor ISN'T human, and I'd rather he not act like it and go about snogging Rose and the like. It'd be like kissing a chimp. They are completely different species. He can care for his companions all he wants, and they can run after then all they want since well, he looks enough like a human, and they don't really know the difference.
It really comes down to the fact that the Doctor is over 900 and is smarter than the humans, and it can get frustrating. He's getting older. He's getting set in his ways a little, and he can't understand why Amy and Rory can't just get it.
It's why River is so bad ass. She gets it.

Nope, not till the Autumn.Quoth Moirae View Postcinema, there's supposed to be one more episode this year. Its not gone yet.
Doctor Who is British. 22+ episodes are not something we do. Although back in the 60's it was on 48 weeks of the year. But yes, it sucks. Of course, have you noticed that ALL the tv shows are doing that now?
Some shows are better as short seasons with an single plot (The Wire), IMHO.
'A Good Man goes to War', was kind of anti-climactic, in that the Doctor has beaten graeter odds, and been angrier. Also the way future River was talking, I was expecting her revelation to be bad. I did thoroughly enjoy it, though.Last edited by cinema guy; 06-07-2011, 01:18 AM."I can tell her you're all tied up in the projection room." Sunset Boulevard.

Given that our DVR is reserved for other things on Saturday night, I watch Doctor Who on Xbox Live. Netflix streams all of the new series (1-5 and the "End of Ten" Specials), and I watch the current series via Zune. Sure, I have to pay a fee to see it, but usually the day after it airs in the States, I can watch it on my Xbox.
At present, though, it does not have "A Good Man Goes To War," and the suspense is KILLING me.PWNADE(TM) - Serve up a glass today! | PWNZER - An act of pwnage so awesome, it's like the victim got hit by a tank.
There are only Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse because I choose to walk!
