By the way, River's Timeline, and I feel like I need to watch the episodes in the right (River's) order now

Video of River's Timeline. Spoilers! behind the cut
Awesome!! Thanks for sharing...I can't watch the whole thing right now but I e-mailed myself the link Hope YouTube doesn't pull it before I get to watch, lol.

By the way, I absolutely LOVE River Song. Don't know if it's just me but I think she and The Doctor have great chemistry together, too...even if he seems a bit awkward and confused around her sometimes

Oddly enough, I have seen many parts of "An Unearthly Child" online, though it takes a lot of hunting and rummaging.
Not for me. The DVD is on my shelf.

      • Random thought:

If "Silence must fall when the Question is asked"...

Wouldn't that mean that the Question won't be answered?

        • No, it just means something catastrophic will happen when the Question is answered. But answered it will be.

Yeah, I get that, but it was still an interesting thought.

Besides, Dorium did give us specifics about the Question.

The Question: The First Question, the oldest question in the universe, hidden in plain sight-- "Doctor Who?"
The Circumstances: "On the fields of Trenzalore, at the fall of the Eleventh, when no creature can speak falsely or fail to answer, the Question that must never be answered will be asked."

Besides, we all know the Doctor will find a way around the danger implied in all of that.

            • I'd actually think it would be more interesting if he couldn't. But I've been reading Dresden a lot...

True, and it's possible that answering the Question will directly lead to the "fall of the Eleventh".

...and now it's just occurred to me how Moffat might tie it all up!

                Spoilered, just in case:
When we (the audience) first meet River ("Silence in the Library" / "Forest of the Dead") she earns the Doctor's trust by revealing she knows his name. That was the last time, chronologically, River is alive.

It was teased that the Doctor told her his name when he married her ("The Wedding of River Song"), but thanks to Rule One ("The Doctor lies") it was revealed that he hadn't. And there's still the potential for future River appearances that do not happen in "reverse order" for her.

So, River Song is on the fields of Trenzalore, and asks the Question, "Doctor Who?" Which, due to the circumstances, the Doctor cannot fail to answer and must answer truthfully. So he does (and we the audience don't have to get the answer), which leads directly into the "fall of the Eleventh." Silence must fall as a result and so... we have the Doctor regenerate into the Twelfth Doctor?

If that's where it's all going, I feel brilliant for figuring it out. If not, well, it's an interesting theory.

You mean the Valeyard. Which, granted, would be awesome.

                    Scary. But awesome.

Ditto: we could have The Dream Lord.

                    • Yeah...I haven't actually seen where he comes in so I always forget the spelling.

I'm still supporting the Dream Lord is the Master theory myself.

Problem is, they established that (spoilers):
Dream Lord is the manifestation of all of the Doctor's "dark" subconscious urges and emotions. He was awakened by the "psychic pollen" that the TARDIS had picked up. Amy and Rory didn't have anything like that manifesting because they didn't have nearly enough for the pollen to pick up. (This was pre-Centurion Rory, after all.)

                        As for the other one...
The Valeyard was another "dark" manifestation of the Doctor, created somewhere between his Twelfth and final incarnations. We're getting closer to the Valeyard's eventual appearance-- and the Dream Lord might have been another foreshadowing of his creation-- but we're not there yet.

It's gonna be interesting to see where it all goes, to be sure.

                          • Fall 2012.

it should be 13-14 episodes, with the finale being the Christmas Episode.

What we know. spoilered... Amy and Rory end their adventures, new companion, rumoured to be played by Miranda Hart
Lister: This is Crazy. Why are we talking about going to bed with Wilma Flintstone?
Cat: You're right. We're Nuts! This is an insane conversation....
Lister: She'll never leave Fred and we know it.

                            • Fall???? I don't wanna wait that long!!

Also, one thing we always have to consider is (spoilered): how long Matt Smith wants to stay on the show. If he chooses to leave we don't have much choice but to get a twelfth Doctor...

Glad I have a few other shows to catch up on and/or get into in the next 8 months or so...

Gah. That's a long time to be waiting.

But I guess I'll have time to save for a DVR.
