... where I spend the next few months dying slowly and horribly.

84 F (29 C? I think) on Sunday. Closer to 90 F yesterday. Sure, not as bad as it gets in some places. Looks like it'll be close to the same today. I'm Irish. Born and bred. We do not have the constitution to deal with this weather as we do with beer (at least, in my family).

Sure, there's worse weather to have. Do I feel bad for bitching about it with the horror show that's been going on in the plains? Sure do.

Still don't like it. Still melting.

ETA : Also, goddamn pollen. Nature does not like me and wants me to stay indoors. Preferably hermetically sealed indoors.
lol. I'm from Canada and I live in New Orleans. Its been roughly 90 F all week, and 100% humidity. It will only get worse as the summer goes on. Trust me, I can relate. Its torture. Might as well stick me in an oven. The only time I go outside during this time of year is to run from air conditioning to air conditioning.

You guys are all going to hate me....

Around my area at the moment it is currently 18C. (around 64F)
It's been a strangely mild start of winter hasn't it?

Got to love this country, anywhere from -6 to 45+ (that's 20 to 115+ for you yanks) within 6 months or less of eachother, forget acclimatizing to temperatures.
If I dropped everybody who occasionally said something stupid from my list of potential partners, I wouldn’t even be able to masturbate

I grew up in Sioux Falls, so I dealt with harsh winters the entire time I was growing up. I hated it with a passion. Plus, I was the one who always had to put on five layers of clothes to shovel the snow out of the way.

When I was a teenager, I went up to the Black Hills every summer and never wanted to leave again. I do remember my first thunder storm up there. I was asleep and woke up thinking the world was ending because it seemed an explosion had gone off and shook the house I was in. Of course, it was just the echo of the thunder off the mountains but geez!

If one listens close enough it is almost like you can hear the history there and want to stay to hear the whole story.

I was in awe of CA winters and how I only needed sweater if that to go out at night. I find the weirdest thing to get use to in a state is how the people are and how they react to life.
I grew up in Canton! I was born in Sioux Falls and live in Fairfield Iowa for about 5 years and we moved to Canton when I started 1st grade, my mommy still lives there in a nursing home and I have lots of relatives and friends who live in Sioux Falls, I came out to the Hills in 1983, after I graduated high school and never left except for four months that I spent in Missouri. I love the history of the Hills area, it is so historical and sometimes I will sit outside my apartment (the complex is on the edge of the city limits so it is quiet and there are lots of hills in the distance) and try to visualize what it was like for the settlers who were just making their way out during the gold rush days. I do the same thing when we are driving around the Hills area like Deadwood or Custer.

It's blasted June and here I am wishing I had brought my light coat. Either they have the AC way too high in this building..or the weather has gone nuts.

Does it REALLY get that bloody hot around your parts?!

Around my area (I live in the 'burbs, only travel out your way to see boyfriend) it can get from maybe -1C to around 40C in summer and the hottest I've been caught in is 43C.

See here it starts getting warm in April. Like, let's go out an sun bathe kind of warm. But it's still cool at night so the heat is on.

Then May is hot and cold, confusingly. And wet. But normally by the end of May it's totally summer weather.

Then June comes along, and we all think "Yay summer!" The heat gets turned off, the shorts come out. We are ready to rock the heat. Then it feels like Late March/Early April. Like it's 5-10C out. Which is a nearly a 15 point drop from the end of May. So Everyone is freezing, and confused.

Then July will hit with it being 30C, and just CLIMB until September.

                    It's really confusing.
