Cookies and Cream Twix.

Mr Pibb (I know some places still have it, but it's been gone around here for several years)
Jeno's frozen pizzas (like Totino's but better)
Also, not discontinued, but why can't Cadbury eggs be available year-round?"You are loved" - Plaidman.

Really? It is ALLLLL over Lawrence. Everywhere. I don't know how many times I've gone to a restaurant, ordered a Dr. Pepper, only to be asked, "Mr. Pibb's okay, right?" NO. NO, it is NOT okay. It is gross and not at all similar to the sweet nectar that is Dr. Pepper. It doesn't help that the campus is a "Coke" campus, meaning they only sell Coke products. At least I like Sprite.Quoth Kara View PostMr Pibb (I know some places still have it, but it's been gone around here for several years)
Although I love the McRib, I'm glad it's only seasonal. I eat too many of them when they *are* available. *shame*
One thing I miss from back home are Jackson's Vanilla Wafers. I may bring some back when I go home next week....

My friend had her wedding on the water in Rhode Island and they did an old fashioned clam bake. Lobster, clams, corn on the cob...all the fixin's. I don't eat seafood but the BBQ chicken was good.Quoth draggar View PostJoe's Crab Shack - Beantown Pot:
2 lobsters, 1/2 pound of shrimp, 1 pound of red potatoes, 1 ear of corn, 1 pound of little necks, 1 big sausage.
Closest thing to a New England lobstah bake I've seen outside of New England.
Just replace the littlenecks with steamers and add a cup of New England clam chowder and you've got it! (sausage is optional).
I've seen them at Christmas (or at least I did a couple years ago; only loose, though, not in the 4-packs). They were in red and green wrappers and called ornaments but otherwise they were the exact same eggs.Quoth Kara View PostAlso, not discontinued, but why can't Cadbury eggs be available year-round?I don't go in for ancient wisdom

Yeah, I noticed a distinct lack of Pibb when I moved to Wichtia. I used to ask for it when I went to restaurants in the area and get "WTF?" looks from waitresses. No one in the entire area around here carries it. Everyone I complained about it to said, "It's just Dr Pepper." Nuh-uh. It's different. Somehow. I like Dr Pepper, but I want a Pibb every now and then.Quoth AdminAssistant View PostReally? It is ALLLLL over Lawrence. Everywhere."You are loved" - Plaidman.

The one I really miss are the chili-cheese burritos from Taco Bell. I don't know why but they were pretty good.
Another one is the McDLT. To me this was the best fast food deluxe burger out there (until culvers). McDonalds never quite got that one back.
I wish Burger King would bring back their version of the Big Mac. I forget what it was called but two of the littler patties, thousand island, lettuce and cheese...maybe onions too.

I really miss the wraps that Long John Silver's restaurants carried back in the mid 90's. Man they were good! Large wraps, and when they were cut in half, you had plenty for 2 meals. Their fish taco that they carry now is similiar but not nearly as good.

Be careful - U.S. and Canadian Mountain Dew are different entities. (data from '90s) U.S. Mountain Dew had the second highest caffeine content of any soda (Jolt Cola was the highest), while the Canadian stuff was caffeine-free.Quoth DeltaSierra View PostFor me this is not so much "bring it back" as simply BRING IT - here in Canada there are NO diet Mountain Dew products available - which boggles the mind as they're Pepsi products and we can get diet Pepsi and diet Dr Pepper, but no diet Dew
There's no real reason why we shouldn't have the same selections, and anything labeled as "low-carb" cannot be sold in Canada. This is because in its infinite *COUGH COUGH* wisdom, the Canadian health authorities passed a law in 2005 stating that "low-carb" was not a "proven science" so labeling products as such was illegal, never mind you can put "low-fat/ low-salt/ low-whatever" on almost anything else,
The irony of the "no low-carb" law is that they also mandated a standardized nutrition label which shows (among other things) grams of carbohydrate per serving.
Things I miss: PC black cherry soda, and Swanson's Country Herb Chicken TV dinnersAny fool can piss on the floor. It takes a talented SC to shit on the ceiling.

One of the cookie companies (dunno which one) used to make peanut butter sandwich cookies called Pitter Patter, I think.
They were similar to Girl Scout Do-Si-Dos, only better. I could've finished off an entire package of those if only my parents would've allowed it.
Also the spiced Pepsi cola Pepsi put out for the holidays one year and then never brought back. It probably sounds disgusting, but I loved it. I wouldn't mind seeing Crystal Pepsi coming back either.
Not discontinued but nonexistent--Coke really needs to make a caffeine-free Coke Zero.
Lastly, I too want Cadbury Creme Eggs to be available year round.Knowledge is power. Power corrupts. Study hard. Be evil.

My store carries them when our rep can get them (sometimes the local warehouse runs out.)Quoth Nonstop_Death View PostCheetos Flamin' hot.
But according to fritolay's website, some stores do carry it.
I miss the Mandarin Orange Slice soda (discontinued some years back.)
And the Kraft Egg Noodles w/Chicken Sauce box dinner . . . my brother and I grew up on that stuff in the 80's.
Martha White Double Blueberry muffin mix . . . rare to find in my area these days.
Betty Crocker Decadent Carrot Cake mix (this was the one with the separate pouch with the shaved carrots, raisins and walnuts you mixed in with the batter.)
Pillsbury Black Forest Brownie mix . . .'nuff said.

Ooo, black forest brownies??? I looooooove black forest cake...that sounds awesome.
I miss Vanilla Coke. I know it's available in some places but not around here.
When I was a kid, Kraft made a type of cheese called Nippy Cheese. It was a sharp cheddar and came in a sort of log shape. Hasn't been around for years. It was soooo tasty.
And there were these meat patties called Chef Pierre's (the brand name, but it might have been owned by some other company?).....kinda like a burger but I think they were mixed beef & pork, and one variety had peppers mixed right into the patty. Haven't seen 'em for a good 10 years now.
Also cherry coolers. It was a cherry-flavored cookie covered in powdered sugar. You can still get lemon coolers but not the cherry ones.
Oh, and tomato-flavored ramen. Can't find it anywhere.
And the one I miss the most: Snapple Mint Tea. We drank that stuff by the gallon. They don't seem to make it anymore. When you start at zero, everything's progress.

Snyders of Hanover used to make Caramel Pretzels that were just wonderful! Just the right mix of sweet and salty and oh so yummy! Haven't seen those in years.
Trader Joes has a habit of discontinuing products I really like, such as their mushroom and bell pepper spaghetti sauce, a frozen paella mix and irish cream-filled chocolates (oh, and a really nice shampoo/conditioner, but that's not food).
There was a brand of sesame-honey crackers (not Kashi, but I'll have to try those) that I'd get at Cost Plus or other odd food stores, and those were delicious!
They still make peanut butter M&Ms and peanut butter Twix; I've gotten them around here. And yes, they are yummy!I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.
