Cute kitten--my folks had one that looked a lot like that.
I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my keister!

She is a cute kitty, but I have to say, the first thing I saw when I read the thread title was me mentally adding: ....Gimme the money and no one gets hurt!

Don't worry about the talking too much. Most cats get chatty around one year. You can help that by speaking to them on a regular basis. I tend to talk back to the cat, while my roommate actually apologises to the cat for the cat getting in his way. I think she has him better trained.

Too damn true. possibly earlier if they're Siamese, Burmese, Tonkinese, Javanese and so forth. We have a Tonk who's quite chatty, you start talking to him and he'll meow back at you. His brother (a Russian blue) is also starting to pick up on the habit.

Riley does NOT shut up, I swear he is part Siamese. When I first brought him home, he purred for many many hours.

Almost six years later, he still purrs all the time. Well, when he is now meowing, chirping, "talking" to the walls & the ceiling fan, grumbling, and then meowing some more.

When he was in isolation post-surgury, he learned that meowing through the heating vent made his meow louder.

Morgan didn't learn how to meow until I got her a cat toy that "meowed"

                I love chatty kittehs.

We have a part Ragdoll who's very chatty, and one of the boys actually uses his voice to communicate. Like the other day...I stepped on the part-Raggy's tail by accident and picked her up to cuddle her a bit in apology...he walks around the corner and gives me the most indignant meow...then again when I didn't put her down immediately to see to him! You could just HEAR the "What about MEEEEEEE?!" in it.

Sigh. I have not even had my Rocket-baby a week yet, and I gotta take her to the vet. She's very pink around one eye and it's swollen a bit. Doesn't seem to bother her, but I'm going to be away for the weekend, and don't want it to turn serious.

Eek....good luck with the eye....Riley lost his due to feline herpes. Mostly because the vet kept misdiagnosing him. I hope they figure out what's wrong with her eye!
