The other side of the coin are people you know everyone but you considers them smoking hot, and while you can acknowledge that they are beautiful by the common standards of beauty, they simply do not register on your radar for whatever reason.
Two words: Julia Roberts. She has the face of a horse. And I am not the only one that thinks that.

Oh, you're not the only one there. Glasses = hot.

I have to agree on Alan Rickman. And Patrick Stewart.

As a former broadcasting major and sound guy, I have to say, these guys' voices just ROCK. Seriously, if I were at all gay, I'd swoon for their voices. As it stands, I'm not, so I just have a very healthy appreciation and admiration for their vocal talents. Add to that list Michael Dorn and Keifer Sutherland. And for singers, Paul Rodgers, aka The Voice. (If you don't recognize the name, he was the lead singer for Free, Bad Company, and The Firm.)

Count me as another 'Do Not See The Appeal of Brad Pitt' girl. Nor do I fully see what's so great about Orlando Bloom or most of the other big-name actors who are considered 'OMGWTFBBQSOHAWT!'
I don't see the appeal of Orlando Bloom either... he's too much of a bird-chested weasel-wimp.

      I'll take Jack Sparrow, though...

Oooh, voice-wise, I know he's -sniff- dead, but Peter Steele of Type O Negative had the most amazing deep voice...

Ok, pretty much--if you have a nice deep voice, I would love to hear you talk. I don't know why I like that, but I do.

I only see the appeal of Orlando Bloom with elf ears.

I don't know if I have what is considered a deep voice, but both Marmalady and Food Lady swear I have a southern accent. Of course I can't hear it, and compared to my father..I am as 'yankee' as they come lol.
Engaged to the amazing Marmalady. She is my Silver Dragon, shining as bright as the sun. I her Black Dragon (though good honestly), dark as night..fierce and strong.

I forgot that. Accents are also awesome. Southern accents...British accents...I REALLY like New England accents.

                    let's see...

not that i think any of these are ugly, but i can see how some might say they're unconventionally attractive:

katee sackhoff (starbuck from battlestar galactica)
erin karpluk (erica on being erica)
                    allison mack (chloe from smallville)
michelle forbes (ensign ro from st:tng)
reshma shetty (divya on royal pains)
                    ayesha dharker (asha in outsourced
                    eve myles (gwen on torchwood)
zoe bell (stuntwoman extraordinaire, also in deathproof)
                    kim harrison (author)

Okay, that woman does not belong here. Why not? Because she's just hot, and not in an unconventional way. She's just hot.

(I'm currently watching the series as BBC runs through it; I've never seen it before. Actually, I'm between the two episodes on my DVR as we speak. And yes, Grace Park is hot, too. Very.)

SHE belongs here. I see the attraction, but I am sure some people would question it.

                            Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet.

That reminds me how when I was in the car yesterday, my sister was listening to the radio. The tag line is supposed to be "Idaho's hit music channel," but the way the DJ ran the words together, it sounded like "Idaho's shit music channel." I was like...yeah, that's about right...

Oooh! Another perhaps strange choice. I dunno. Captain Maggot. She's so...adorable.

I've always had a thing for Steve Buscemi. The guy is odd-looking, but I have a big crush.
I was wondering if anyone was going to mention him.

Either he has gotten a little better looking over the years, or we have just become more used to his unusual looks, but I like the guy, and there have been a few things I've seen him in where I thought he had a certain charm and, yes, almost sexiness. LOL
Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

OK, maybe "ugly" is too harsh. But maybe there's that one who is definitely not conventionally attractive, not the leading lady or leading man type. There's just something about him/her. Maybe you can't put your finger on it, or maybe you can.
Christopher Eccleston -- smoking hot as the Doctor!
Joel Hodgson -- I've only seen him on MST3K, but he is just plain adorable.
The Edge (U2) -- okay, he's a musician not an actor, but he's gangly, nerdy, brainy and very attractive!
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.
