  • Just need to squee about this

Really quick- I've been working on losing as much weight as possible before my sister's wedding in October. Thus, I've been working out practically everyday for the past two months or so (hell, just the past two weeks alone, I think I've skipped...one day? Maybe two?). Gradually, my pants have been getting more and more roomy, so I finally got some new ones. At the start of the summer, I was a size large. As I'm writing this, I am comfortably in a size medium.

Yay! Go you! Keep up the good work!

I only ever fit a medium if we're talking skirts. At my ideal body weight, my hips and shoulders are both still too wide (because of bone structure) to fit in anything smaller than a large.

        That's a great feeling, isn't it?

Thanks! ^_^ And, yeah, I know what you mean. Below the waist, I'm now a medium. Above, anything smaller than a large is a no-go.

It snuck up on me too. O.o Seriously. I was doing the Health Rider a few weeks ago, and I suddenly noticed that my pants were big. And, yes, it feels awesome to be able to say that I can fit into a size medium pants. :3 Given where I was at the very end of last year/beginning of this year (read: I was probably the biggest I've ever been around that time), I wasn't sure if I'd get there.

Two years ago I was almost in an 18 (bursting out of a 16). I am wearing a pair of 12s right now. So I can relate. Congrats! Oh, and Kogarashi: I have a large frame, too. I could get to a 10, but all the sleeves/pantlegs would be too short. I'm somewhere between a 12 and 14, which is good for me.

Arg. You're lucky! I'm losing weight, but I haven't dropped any sizes! seriously, I'm at least 10 pounds down. *grumble*
Good going! Have a granita or other flavored ice-thing! :3

I have a protein shake that's made with ice (and almond milk, peanut butter, half a banana, vanilla protein powder, and half a packet of hot cocoa mix). Does that count?

That more than counts because it is GOOD for you on more than just the calorie level. It is nutrient-packed.

Just make sure you are consuming enough fiber and water too. Fiber One makes some yummy 90-calorie bars and even ... BROWNIES! They taste so good my DH and even his dad raided the box I had stashed at our store. The buttheads ate them all!

Oh, definitely getting a lot of both lately. I have this psyllium fiber powder supplement that I take everyday, and have to drink lots of water (like 4 cups at least) after it.

Also, I have heard of those brownies. I may have to pick up a box next time I'm at Wallyworld. Even though I try not to nibble on things between meals, I do get hungry sometimes.

An amendment to my earlier post: the jeans I was using for comparison were two different store brands, which I didn't realize at the time. I actually tried on two of the same brand, and yes, I have dropped a size. Regardless, all of my pants fit funny now.
I prefer fruit smoothies. Shakes with a lot of protein in them make me feel funny after a while. AND there's different kinds of fiber, which you need some of each to keep your guts healthy... but the study of fiber and gut health is still very much an ongoing process.
