I love your idea for raising money, Joi! Mind if I pass that along to my ML?

Finally got my synopsis up. Those things are harder to write than I thought they were.

      Good luck everybody!!

I'll prolly regret this, but I'm going to officially sign up for this year. My SN is Deeva on there. I'll go ahead and admit I've been working on this story for a while, but I swear if I don't get it done soon, I'm gonna go insane. So...motivation?

Just hit 1,231 words before bed. Having a nighttime schedule is weird for NaNo. If I don't get called in tonight I'm going to our kickoff party and will hopefully round out what I need to finish Day One then.

Unfortunately I found out about NaNoWriMo after I was 30,000 words into my current novel, and I'l still working on it at 85,000 words.

I'm tempted to use the month as an excuse to get started on the book's sequel, I'm just too obsessed with making this one perfect x.x

I will say that reading about NaNoWriMo helped inspire me to continue as, at the time, I was starting to hit writer's block with the book and I decided I would get 50,000 words in it. Once I hit that point I realized I would've succeeded the NaNoWriMo challange as it had only been 3 weeks since I'd started writing.

This is my first true novel and I'm really excited about my plans to print out a copy of it to give as gifts this Christmas.

Was going to but I'm not this year.

I'm about 50 words shy of 5k on day 2, which means I've almost made day 3's goal!

I've got a REALLY good feeling about this year's attempt!

Will people get mad if I post my over-achieving word count? Here, I'll put it in white text...

                        14,055! And still going strong!

I'm actually hosting a Write-In right now, at my local Starbucks. We have 8 people right now, hooray! Being an ML is fun.

I started late (Nov 3) and only with a main character and a vague idea. I'm only about 700 words in. But that was about 2 hours worth of writing. And at least now I have a bit more of an idea.

Reached 10,050 as of this morning. Really getting into the story now. Very glad I have an outline, it helps keep my on track.

                              Current word count: 11,754.

                              Favorite passage from today:

                              "It's magic. Magic isn't real."

He held her gaze, making sure she could see his face very clearly. The next words came, not from his mouth, but from his mind directly into hers.

                              "Isn't it?"

Ugh. I'm behind. Spent all day yesterday doing WSPIR basic training which was over a two-hour drive away, and I had NO time to write. On the plus side, I have the next two days off, and I think I can get caught up in that time.
