Which will, if they hit us, and thus will be in our climate, merely be large splashes of water. You DO realize this, right?

Do not challenge my ingenuity. We will be traveling with an ice chest you know ...

/me considers taking bids to take a snowball to Key West for devious purposes
A big enough vehicle WILL accomodate multipule coolers full of food, ice water AND snow

On thread though it snowed hard for a couple of hours then turned to nothing. The roads are slush (HMMMM slush balls)

A few things I should point out here:

    1. We all know that that ice chest is going to be for food and drink for you two.

    2. Despite living in Key West, I WILL be able to respond INSTANTLY with a fully-formed snowball. Yes, I said snowball. "But Jester, how is that possible?" Well, does anyone here really doubt my ingenuity?

    3. No one here can outbid me. They can offer you all kinds of things to hit me with a slushball or two. However, not one of them can offer you what I can...showing you around the magical island that is Key West, not just as you being a typical tourist, but as you being a visitor with a well-known longtime local as your guide. How is anyone here going to be able to top THAT?

A drenching with a full ice chest sounds in order... half ice, half water... and a couple of pounds of salt on the ice.

Sleet here. Not going to be very much fun driving home in it.

I woke up a couple of hours ago just to peek outside, and we had a light coating of snow, but now we have about an inch of snow but getting covered in tons of freezing rain and sleet.

I went out for a smoke and my porch is all slick and slushy.

Mother Nature is bi-polar or something. It's been cool and rainy here all day...supposed to snow in the morning, and next week? Temperatures in the 50s. O.o Uh...What? Well hell...Welcome, Spring, I guess! ETA: I just heard a couple rolls of thunder. Interesting.

shoot MAYBE this time I can acutally USE the snow thrower instead of a wisk broom.

My town is right in the center of the line. we will not know how much we will get or what we will get until later today. maybe heavy snow maybe sleet freezing rain or rain or crap.

Our (just a few hundred miles north of Jester's) winter has been really mild too, though it has its mood swings. The other night it got really chilly and windy...then it went right back to being warm and muggy again. It rained today, too...got stuck out in it a bit (grr). And to think, this past Sunday's planned Daytona 500 race was actually RAINED OUT for the first time ever...they had to postpone it to Monday night! (I about about 90 miles south of Daytona Beach...)

Aaand today it's a nice and pleasant 27C.
About the same here. Today it was about 80F, currently it is 77F, or 25C for those not used to Faherenheit. And I AM in the same country as most of the people complaining here are in.

Now will we be seeing in 6 months from you "it's -20c and we got a meter of snow last night - FML"?
Not from me. Coldest recorded temp in Key West is 41F, or 7C. I heard a rumor that one night here this winter it was 48F (9C), but I don't remember that personally, and haven't seen much in the below the 60s to be honest. Even for KW, this is a rather mild winter, following on the heels of last year's amazingly mild winter. (The one before that, not so mild....for Key West.)

In any case, no negatives here. Other than my dating life....or lack thereof.

But it's all cool, because it's all warm. Aaahh...life on a tropical island.

We don't get snow over here. And the coldest it gets is around 3C in the morning.

It was -20c when I left for work this morning (-27 with windchill). It was above zero when I went home. Calgary's weather is just plain crazy.
