Sadly, that 2 hrs in the doctors office has totally completely drained me of energy. Time for me to curl up and take a good LONG nap.

Take that nap. Ask questions about the chemo, see what you can do to minimize its effects on your general health...and so on. Not sure what I can say that hasn't already BEEN said.

I don't know. When you get over your current troubles, you will probably regret not taking the chemo.
Still, does the oncologist know about your health? Most of the drugs used in chemo will target any fast-growing cells, that means bone-marrow, blood-cells, intestinal lining and, of course, hair-follicles. They will also put a heavy load on the liver and kidneys.
It's no good to be virtually cancer-free if the cure kills you.
At least discuss it with the doctor again. Perhaps you can get a lighter but still effective dose.

I haven't regretted my chemo, even though I lost some feeling in fingers and toes and one of my legs doesn't work as well as it used to. At least I know I have done what I could.

One good thing about these doses is that it will be a lighter dose. As I am currently cancer free, and this is to prevent...not cure.

So if it's prevention, is there a "baseline" of Non Cancerous Cells and Drug Levels, that may be tapered as you go along in life? the longer the cells are held back, dosage is lowered, check again, cells are quiet..repeat? Quality of life will be affected. I have epilepsy, figuring dosage and drugs are a pita.

I am not sure to be honest. I know that they check so often regardless if I take the chemo or not..less frequently if I take the Chemo.

Currently without a toenail on my big toe (had to get it removed because an ingrown toenail became infected)..and having to walk with help or a cane. So mobility even more limited then normal, but it could always be worse.

Ouch. I've been there with (or without, as the case may be) the toenail, Myt. It's not fun, but it's better than the alternative.

*nods* When I was at the doctor, I was warning them I have major issues with people bothering my feet..as in people get kicked in the teeth issues. So I wanted something over my eyes, and somebody to hold down my leg (very sensible precautions). He said "I don't have to do this if you don't want."

Oh no, they were doing it, I just wanted to protect HIM. *laughs*
