Eh, why not, I could stand to contribute to the amusement now and then.
            • About 100 books on the bookcase above the work surface
            • Small bucket of pens, pencils, and little airplane-shaped erasers
            • Flight computer, circular slide rule type
            • Flight computer, electronic calculator type
            • Flight computer, teeny tiny keyring type, not that I have keys on it.
            • A stack of every card and letter my sister's ever sent me
            • A foreign medical bill I can't read well enough to pay
            • Four or five die-cast airplanes. I'm still looking for a Grumman Tiger.
            • A photo of my sister's office... ok, it's just a picture of one of her airline's planes
            • Flamingo - the ceramic kind
            • Bobcat - the grumpy kind
            • Overly-cuddly Russian Blue
            • Front end of a very jealous Australian cattle dog
            • Sack of jewelry repair parts
            • Clipboard with my school notebook clipped to it
            • Mouse pad, I think
            • Packet of braille alphabet stickers for my computer keyboard (makes it so much easier to do homework laying down at 2am!)
            • Engraved coaster that was a favor from a wedding... right next to the ring where I always set my cup, of course.

You'll notice that my computer is not on the list. There's no room; I work from the bed!

I can't keep a lot on my desk - not much room.

Do have a new mousie for the laptop and my coffee cup on the desk right now, along with:

                  cordless phone
                  laptop
                  lamp
long wicker basket that holds mail
                  bill organizer
tube of KrazyGlue on base of lamp (they stay clog free better if the tube is on a solid surface standing up.)

My whiteboard for various "witty" things and other artstuffs I decide to do has gone Turbo.

ETA: Good god, this might be the creepiest thing I've ever drawn. I might have to take it home so I can take a picture of it for posterity.

So I brought my white-board home so I could take a picture of it (can't take my cell phone into work; it's a secure facility) and the horrifying picture on it.

Right now, there's a kitteh on my computer desk. I'm on my laptop in the living room...and the computer in my home office doesn't work now. So one of the kittehs is curled up, and taking a nap.

I wonder if it's a trait of Russian Blues...my furball seems to do the same.

Also, slight nitpick, but I do believe that Australian Cattle Dogs are also known as "Blue Heelers".

As far as my desk is concerned, I have the following on it:

-10 manila document wallets that are labelled with "English, Maths, Science, SOSE, Arts, Health/PE, Design/Tech, Special Needs, behavioural needs, TRT (relief teaching)" as I plan on using these to start my teaching library next year.

-a ton of uni cover sheets (that I have never used and will most likely never use)

-a binder that came as part of a set of 3 (binder, A4 book, A5 book) and I'm using for a differnt reason entirely.

                          -random CD-ROMs and DVDs.

-a fat quarter (of fabric) that is going to be turned into an altar cloth.

ETA: I just realized I left out the most important things on my desk! At the base of my monitor, there sits a clay bench, a clay rabbit, and a clay sock monkey, all made by my mother. These are very precious to me, as I know the time, care and talent she put into them. I remember her with a smile every time I look at them.
