Hey, Mytical, you said you've tried everything, and so I assume that you've covered anything I can think of and this post is useless as a breathalyzer at Dragon*Con.*

    But just in case!

Around a decade ago, various medical dumbnesses happened that ended up with me being told that I am not either allergic to water, that a gastroenterologist who disbelieves in Irritable Bowel Syndrome as fervently as he disbelieves in the Tooth Fairy is a nutbar, and that I did in fact have IBS. I was put on a diet actually designed for migraine sufferers, because what affects one nerve center in the body affects the other just about as hard; and I was told to take a specific digestive enzyme supplement before every meal.

That doctor moved away a year later, and the enzyme supplement company went out of business three weeks later. I've since done a lot of experimenting with other brands, and I've found "Digest Gold" by Enzymedica to be fairly close. I think it'd work better if it didn't have lactase in it. However, it's basically a batch of extra digestive enzymes that I swallow about half an hour before I eat -- so, at a traditional restaurant, right around when I order food -- and it boosts the amount of digesting I do.

I'm wondering if this would help treat your symptoms, during the early part of nausea anyway, by leaving less work for your liver to refuse to do? Or maybe there's a similar "liver function in a pill" supplement that your pharmacist could suggest?

I hope I have been helpful, or amused you momentarily, and if not I apologize for wasting your time!

What about apple or white vinegar? Or a big ol heaping tablespoon of backing soda (not at the same time, mind).
Ya at the same time could be...interesting But on the vinegar note they make apple cider vinegar pills....which so far I have only seen at Winco, so I don't know if they sell them anywhere else. But I take two of those a day...it's a thought.

Jarissa.. thanks for the advice, I am up for trying anything once. Never heard of your suggestion, so I will look into it. Sorry I took so long to respond, getting to be a bad time of year for me

Well, they do make bile that people like my uncle slurp down a nasal tube before injecting the food [by the time that happened thanks to cancer he had lost a majority of his internal organs and was no linger producing bile nor most of the digestive enzymes at all] but I think that is a bit exxessive. Although I do vaguely remember a chinese digestive med that was essentially bile turned into small pills. Hm go talk to an actual practitioner, but one of these might be indicated.
