I am also deeply sorry for your loss, and deeply relieved that you were able to see your father one last time. My sincerest sympathies.

I am, I'm afraid, also going to make a suggestion you probably won't like.

I think you should consider insisting that your father be autopsied. It is far more common than most people would believe for a person who plans to murder a spouse to first isolate that spouse from their family. Your stepmother's actions, to me, are screaming spousal abuse.
