    Boredom eating is terrible.

You will definitely want to bring in your own snack foods so that you aren't at the whim of whatever is available in the middle of the night.

I like to take sunflower seeds in the shell because it takes both time and effort to actually eat them, and overall, you end up with lower intake than otherwise.

As for gum chewing, it's ok to chew gum if you still have food in your stomach, but probably not wise if you're actively hungry; if you've got cravings and you're not filling them it only makes them stick around and get worse.

I also echo the idea to find something to do with your hands while you're working that won't interfere or get you in trouble.

I found whatever exercise I could get outside of work (moving home and having to help a lot there really did wonders for me), even if only on your days off, will help immensely. If you can join a gym or just get a regimen going.

I've actually lost weight since moving home, but I also ditched a worthless pussy of a bf, and do more than just sit online and watch TV all day. I have to clean the house in lieu of rent, and walking around the neighborhood/town is a lot more effective than walking on a treadmill for hours.

I started bringing protein bars to work for my eat breaks. That way, they were small enough so I wasn't really forcing myelf to eat, but what I was eating, was alright for me.

Life Choice makes some decently priced bars, some are protein, some fiber, whatever you need.

That is interesting. I recently saw an article that suggested that you chew more gum. Generates saliva and aids in the digestive process. Reducing the risk of acid reflux.

Need to go look for that.
The saliva I think was more to combat tooth decay. At least that's what Trident was pushing for a while - chew some gum if you can't brush.

Although perhaps the answer is moderation.

Do some exercise while you work.

Stand up whenever you're doing a phone call that doesn't require you to write or type.

Set a small alarm to beep at you every 45 minutes or hour or so, and switch to a job you can do standing or walking, for ten minutes.

On your breaks, do stretches or yoga or some other low-sweat exercise.

          2. If you're consistently getting results you don't want, change what you do.
          3. Deal with the situation you have now, however it occurred.
          4. Accept the consequences of your decisions.
