Too common and we need these programs up quickly sometimes. I don't want to screw up the tech room, just mess with people with a minimal impact on the customer's experience.Quoth iradney View Postyou could do the classic screen shot of the desktop, hide the icons and task bar schtick....works everytime for me ... *efg*
(Although switching all the icons would be funny as hell, why is (application A) coming up when I click on (application B).

Or flip the screen upside down. Even if you know the trick, it tends to throw people off for a min or 2The only words you said that I understood were "His", "Phone" and "Ya'll". The other 2 paragraphs worth was about as intelligible as a drunken Teletubby barkin' come on's at a Hooter's waitress.

This might take a little work, and it may not even be possible, but if it is, I think it would be hilarious.
Print out a copy of the screen on a film type thing you can then attach to the screen. No matter what they do, it will APPEAR to them that nothing is happening.

Chum of mine once showed me how to hex-edit the mouse cursor so that the hot spot (where you actually click) was no longer on the point of the arrow, but on the bottom right of the cursor icon. I can't remember how to do it now, but we did it to a friend who wondered why his mouse wasn't clicking the icon properly half the time.

Wow. If someone did that to me It'd take a long time before I noticed. Heck, at home, half of my keys are worn blank. I only notice that because when I get a new game I usually need to move my hands to new positions for the control scheme.
You could always must move and lock the task bar. My system at work has the bar on the right, and every time a tech person has to work on it, he has to actually look at it for a few moments.

The ast manager kept on tapping on my door yesterday (you know, the typical knock and run away). So I kept an eye though the peep-hole and when she went to do it again, I flung the door open, hit her hand (didn't hurt, too much). She stopped.
I have devised the most EVIL of all EVIL plans to retaliate against her, but this is rather extreme...

Ooooh... nobody ever looks up!
You could hang all sorts of things on ceilings and for some people, it might take years for them to notice.
