I used to work in a grocery store... though only two of the managers didn't mind the fooling around on the PA... so I don't have many stories, lol.
But I do remember this one time, one of the guys picked up the phone (it was 5 minutes before close... there was no one left in the store) and in this old granny voice kinda think, called ot " K to the front cash please.... cancel K. K to the front cash please.... cancel K." did it over and over again like that maybe 4-5 times...
Eventually K made her way over to the front and rolled her eyes at him (with a smirk on her face, hehe)
I remember one time I took a breath to call someone over the PA and sorta chocked on my own spit... so all you hear was a choking kinda noise and then nothing... I immediately hung up because I couldn't talk... coughed a little bit and THEN tried again, lol.
Something else I remember... this isn't over the PA... but I remember on saturday mornings, when we'd come in earlier to place all the new cards that advertise the specials of the week (this is before opening)... everyone would sing along to the songs playing on the radio, and we'd sing loud enough to hear each other over the aisles, heh.
