And look how they try to slide in that sexual deviancy and sex crimes evolve from... watching pornography...
Oh yeah, because no one was ever raped or molested before porn.... Maybe those people should actually READ the damn Bible.

      *Stutters after reading tract*

Holy fuck! (No pun intended) That is one of the most badly written, twisted, messed up, and disturbing things I've ever seen. That just breaks all laws of common sense and logic all at once.

If Mystery Science Theater 3000 did their show on bad literature they'd be having a field day with some of these things.
The Grand Galactic Inquisitor hears all and sees all.

To the Christians in the forum, let me just apologize before I even get started, since what I'm about to say is pure Ebil.

Now that that's out of the way... my first thought when reading exactly where in the bathroom the tracts were left was "Eh, not as soft as toilet paper, but nicely poetic..."
There are probably very few of us who subscribe to the My way or burn forever in HELL philospophy that many pamphlets, 'Christian' or not, seem to take- They're almost always really radical that way. Jack Chick pamphlets, no offense, defy logic.

As a victim of child abuse (albeit the physical/emotional kind, not sexually; my wife was sexually abused), all I can say is this. I wish is was that easy for the abuser to just "turn things around", but it's not. I don't know about all the other abusers, but mine just doesn't care whether I got hurt or not, and I'm sure my wife's abuser feels/felt much the same. And if Jesus forgave him and such for abusing his family and he'll go to heaven when he dies? Fine, but he still needs to be held accountable for his crimes here.

Ugh, those are disgusting..."begin sarcasm" nice to know they focused on helping the attacker instead of helping the actual victim "end sarcasm"

ME AND DADDY WILL NEVER HURT YOU AGAIN... yeah ok

If I were that kid, I'd be like "still doesn't change the fact I can probably never have children, thanks daddy!"

Shit, according to the Bible, yer suppose to STONE the victim and attacker. This is buried in that same section that says gays are bad, don't eat shellfish/mixmeat and dairy/pork/mixed fibers in clothes is bad.

Ah, Jack Chick tracts. I used to see a lot of them at a past job. Almost every time I went to the restroom there, the stalls would be peppered with them. Later on, I would find out that it was a co-worker who was doing that. He would leave one on the toilet paper dispensers, and usually one on top of the toilet as well. He would also put one on each of the urinals, as well as a few on the tops of the sinks.

Sometimes they make me grit my teeth. I mean, we people of reason cannot help but experience at least a slight raise in blood pressure upon reading messages such as: Follow my religion, or be punished for all eternity! However, the ones about the theory of evolution crack me up---mainly just because they are so utterly ignorant. Anyone who has completed an introductory course in either biology or anthropology would be able to refute their silly arguments against science.

On a more serious note, I'd like to re-state that I do, indeed, understand the difference between a person with deep religious or spiritual beliefs and a fanatical zealot. I've had very enlightened discussions over creation vs. evolution before, and truly feel that anyone who actually takes their religion seriously will be able to come up with a more factually-based argument than 'because the bible says so'. Of course, I also believe that evolution and spritual creation are both true, in their own ways, with evolution explaining the 'how' and The Unknowable One's* hand providing the 'why'.

I think everyone on this board can join in the laughter at those who can and will say the observed world is wrong and they are right, whether it's on religion, their phone-overages, or the fact that Gravekeeper can't get someone out of bed if it's not an emergency.

*For those who don't know, I believe that pretty much every deity from Jehovah to Coyote exists, but none of them are actually the ones responsible for the creation of everything, therefore it's a buyer's market as far as religion goes. Pick the god or gods you want to worship, whose tenants resonate best with your soul, and you'll get way more bang for your buck when it comes to calling in a favor for all that worshiping. I call the ACTUAL supreme being The Unknowable One, because there is no freakin' way to wrap your head around a being that is truly infinite, in the same way it's impossible to see every single facet of a gem at the same time.
