  • hope I'm not going to jail now

A co-worker just called me and said the police were looking for me, in relation to an incident with a customer I had just before the end of my shift...

So here's what happened: Girl wanted cigarettes, no ID, she was rude about it, ending with her saying "Kiss my ass" and I finally lost my cool and said "Blow me". There weren't any other customers around or anything, although I know that wasn't really cool anyway...but calling the cops?

What, its against the law to say "blow me" now?

I can't figure out what crime was committed here. Unless the fuzz decides to take a very liberal view of "soliciting sexual favors"

Don't worry, I bet this goes nowhere. It's your word against hers.

Yeah, that's what I figure. She may complain to the company, but again...not that I condone lying, but I'd get shitcanned in a heartbeat for it and...it is my word against hers...and in general I'm pretty tops with customer service, even if I secretly hate many of them.

Just make sure to erase any surveillance tapes that show you saying that.
Unless your store doesn't have audio...

Either way, don't worry about it. She wanted a sexual favor from you (kissing her ass) and you replied in kind (blow me). Isn't that how dating works?

Use that to your advantage. It seems like you might be able to get away with this once in a while.

If the police come, tell them what happened (except your final words). She tried to bu cigaretts but didn't have any ID. Case closed.

If they send the cops for "blow me," they'd probably send the SWAT team for "bite me."

Who knows... maybe they were there to thank you for refusing to sell to someone without ID... and to have a laugh with you about the person who'd run to the police about such things.

Well I went down to the store and the girl working said the cop was just interested in knowing how much "history" there was. There's some - this girl's brother was my neighbor and he terrorized me and my friends for the longest time, and their mom was the landlord and wouldn't do anything about it, and even threatened evictions if we called the cops too much. While that's not legal...not much I could do about it. I moved out, and ever since I've been taking it out on the whole family, cuz I'm an asshole. It's fun though. I feel like Cartman sometimes.

                Meh..

I've been in the situation of dealing with bullies, but becoming one in retaliation.. methinks the self description is correct. You can be a better person.. you just choose not to be. Guess what? They won.

Ah...so you stooped to the sucky employee level because you had a history with the customer, and by your own admission, you take revenge on the whole family for past acts by the brother and mother.

Quite frankly, I don't care what the customer said to you or how they behaved, telling a customer, "Blow me" is just wrong...and you already know that.

Yeah, you shouldn't have said "Blow Me". But just let the police know what happened. That you refused to sell any cigarettes to her, because she wouldn't show any ID.

                        Of course...she technically wasn't a customer...cuz she didn't buy anything......yeah, that'll work.

Ah well. Mayhaps if she complains to the company, I can point out that a few hours earlier, I SAVED A CUSTOMERS LIFE.

I'd like to think that balances out with "blow me".

Do you think she actually told the police that you said "Blow me"? Or do you think its possible that she embelllished her side of the story somewhat, and suggested that she was polite and reasonable throughout and you were aggressive, threatening and made threats against her personal safety? Cos you know, people have been known to tell lies to the police sometimes....

I'm not really worried about the police now. She comes from a junkie family and every one of them spends more of the year in jail than out. As far as credibility goes, I win hands down. Ah well, a lapse in judgement. I shall learn from my mistake!

It's not illegal to insult someone. And even if it was, she insulted you first. This girl is an idiot.
