It's possible. I have been carded as recently as October. I am 37.Quoth blas87 View PostIf I can get carded when I'm in my 30s or beyond, hell, I'll hug the clerk!
People are guessing my age more accurately these days than they used to (and some are guessing older!
), but just last November during the powerboat races, three people guessed me at 26, 26, and 27. Sweet!
I actually got carded for cigarettes a few weeks back when I was buying them for coworkers. (I don't smoke.) That was entertaining.
My mom is in her seventies and doesn't look it. Neither of my sisters look their ages either. I don't mind the fact that I (generally) look younger than I am, as I have always kept a young outlook on life. As I tell people, I am 37 going on 12.
My friend D-Rod is a knockout who never gets carded, because most people assume she is 26-27...that is the typical age they guess her at. This month will be her 20th birthday.
My friend Frank is three years younger than me, but most people assume he is 10 years or more OLDER than me. Heck, when he was still in his 20s, people were guesstimating him as being in his FORTIES.

I offended one of the cops on duty at the store in September. I guessed his age to be 35.
He didn't like that.
Why?
He was only a few days away from his 26th birthday.
He still won't let me forget that...but I keep demanding proof and he won't show me his DL.Unseen but seeing

During my sophomore year of college I had 2 different people guess my age wrong. One person thought I was 14, the other one thought that I was at least 22 (based on the fact that she thought that I was in grad school). The difference? I opened my mouth and actually talked to the 2nd person. And I was wearing black (duh, I was working in a theater).
I had one woman exclaim, "Okay, I know you're telling me the truth that you're going to be 30 on Monday. But, I don't believe you." She thought that I was her age, 22.
While I look younger than my years, if I put my hair up in a bun, I can add 10 years to my age instead. At least I can't pass as a teenager anymore. I found that mildly annoying in college.I'm sorry, the person to whom you were speaking has been replaced by a recording. Please leave your message at the sound of the beep.

I'm 30 and I frequently get mistaken for being in my teens. I get carded for lotto tickets (must be 18 years old to buy them) ALL THE TIME. And at different places too. When I have my hair up in a bun or in a ponytail I look even younger. I wear very little make-up and this makes me look "fresh-faced young." If I wear my hair down and put make-up on I look maybe 20/21. Maybe.
The funniest story I have is when I went furniture shopping 4 years ago. My parents wanted to buy me a whole bedroom set for my birthday. They had just bought a lot of house furniture for my sister and her husband so they wanted to even things up. We went to a large furniture store and I picked out a gorgeous cherry wood set-10 pieces and all. The sales lady asked me if I was getting it for my high school graduation. My mom and I looked at each like, "Whaaaaat?" And we both giggled. I had just finished my MASTER'S!!!! I was actually very very flattered, but the sales lady was absolutely mortified. I felt a little sorry for her.Do I dare
