Once I had a customer who was called, I kid you not, Tom Riddle. I still live in hope of encountering a Harry Potter one day. XD
I've had many a Salazar - but those are the last names. A few other good HP names, but I can't remember them!

I can't find the article, but I saw it on the news some time last year.

My last name is Riddle, and have several family members named Tom.
If any of them has the middle name Marvolo then you better watch out.

I think the award for "Most Sadistic Parents" has to go to those of a girl I went to school with for half of my sixth grade year.

Her last name was "Hymon." Her parents decided that a good first name for a girl would be...

                    ..."Tara."

The best part was that, by the sixth grade, she had already been made fun of by all the kids and it was pretty much over with, having been worn out years earlier.

That is, until I moved in from California. >

I had a customer whose name was Wayne Kerr, say that fast and you'll get the drift
Except around here, it's often pronounced to rhyme with 'car.' There's an entire drugstore chain with that name.
I'm sorry, the person to whom you were speaking has been replaced by a recording. Please leave your message at the sound of the beep.

I wonder if parents that do this realize how horrible their kids' school life is going to be. It's almost like they want them to be miserable. Like naming your kid Rainbow, or giving your boy a girl's name >.>

I actually discussed that with a mate; we were thinking of which 80s rockers we could name boys after to make them as miserable as possible. We eventually decided on Jani, Tracii, Alice and Nikki.

As for sadistic parents, beat this; I had a girl in my class at school who had a brother named Richard. Nothing bad about that, cept her surname was Head. Plus there was an Emma Thompson in my science class.
People who don't like cats were probably mice in an earlier life.

There used to be a politician named Richard Face. And the school he went to had an award named after him. Imagine the ribbing you'd get for winning the Dick Face award...

I've seen A. Littleboy, Lee King, Wayne King, Mike Hunt, B. Rotherly, and of course two traditional family names- On my mums side we have Brede (and variations), on my dads Seaman.
