This happened yesterday and I can’t believe I forgot to post it
To lift moral and make the shop seem more alive, our store has “written off” an iPod, asked all the employees to bring in a few tracks they like, and we have also recorded our own adverts (You can hear me talking about the in-home tech support service we offer
)
All of the music had to be filtered before it went onto the iPod to be played. Fairly obviously, we can’t have swearing, racism or anything like that so someone sat there and checked all the songs before copying them onto the iPod...aaand they screwed up
With 15GB of songs, the problem is, you don’t always see the mistakes immediately. So we’ve had a few minor ones show up, like an un-cut version of the black eyed peas “Pump it” and having chef’s chocolate salty balls, among others.
Anyway, I was leaning on the desk chatting to rob when all of a sudden I hear a 2-second intro and I think “Oh SHIT!” because I realise the song that is, by now, blaring out of the PA system is Terrance and Philip – Uncle Fucker. I dashed over the PA system and skipped to the next track and deleted the song from the playlist. I came back to the tech/customer service desk, here’s a surprise; Rob is SWAMPED with complaints. 50 million parents, all with kids who are turning around to each other and telling one another “No, YOU shut YOUR fucking face, uncle fucker” one kid came up to the desk and yelled “FUCK YOU” at full volume at his brother. It took all I could give to not burst out laughing.

I'm kinda amazed you guys didn't get fired for that.
