Kevin "Bloody" Wilson would be correct for that one (Ho Ho F***ing Ho).

For some reason, I'm certain I heard a Roy "Chubby" Brown cover of that song, with different (and even ruder, if that were possible) lyrics. But there's no question that Wilson was the original source.

Just curious, but where are you from that Haloween comes before Thanksgiving (second Monday in October, this year it was the 13th)? I thought everyone celebrated it on the 31st.

Hadn't mentioned it before, but I've heard not one but two radio stations (widely separated geographically) playing Christmas music before Labour Day

In the US Halloween ALWAYS comes before Thanksgiving. Halloween is 10/31 and Thanksgiving is the last Thursday in November (or something like that).

Not to be picky, but actually it's the 4th Thursday.

And Labo(u)r Day for us 'mericans is the first Monday in September! If I had to listen to xmas music that long, I'd kill myself!

The Christmas music at my store started up yesterday.

Of course, working overnight, it took me about 3 seconds to say "Screw this Christmas shit" and take one of the display radios out of electronics and tune it in to a rock station so I had decent music to work to.

If I couldn't get in trouble for it, I'd sing all those songs! They are unbelievable. I probably could invent one of my own, but it may take away from those others. I wonder which songs haven't been "stolen" by this site and recreated.

It was so loud in the breakroom, that I just spend the entire week glaring at everyone that came in, because I was so annoyed.

I'm ready to grab a shotgun now and hunt down that stupid Musak control panel. . . our Christmas music started today.

Why must there be 15 different versions of the same 3 dozen songs? Seems as if every artist in the freakin' world has to record a Christmas album among their credits.

Why? Don't they record any original Christmas songs anymore? Last decent one I heard was "All I Want for Christmas is You" by Vince Vance and the Valiants - but you don't hear that classic on the Musak.

My shop is based inside a supermarket, and they started playing their Christmas mix cd yesterday. 2/3 of it Christmas music, and 1/3 popular music. Duffy, Sara Barreilles, Missy Higgins (who no-one in the UK has really heard of, but hey I love her!) etc. However, there is a problem with the cd player meaning everything is sped up, and the 3 hour cd plays in 2 hours. Every song is like chipmunks on helium and makes my ears bleed. And they have to play this thing all day every day.
Thankfully I have a little back room where I put MY music on and drown out the screeching over the tannoy!
Bring on Jan 2nd!

Yes, it would be great, I'd love it, if they didn't play CRAP!

I currently have 10 gigabytes of christmas music on my harddrive, not to mention my cds and record albums. (And I'm a hardcore Super-Atheist Subgenius Reverend Doctor).There is a so much good stuff that need not be repeated--and you won't find damned Faith Hill, Toby Keith, Mariah Carey or Celine Dion anywhere on my computer--with the exception of that song Toby sings on the Colbert special.

But will my store play "Santa Claus is a Black Man" or "Zuma, the Santa Claus from Mars" in the backroom just once?

Well, they will this year--on Christmas Eve!!!
