Ugh, I'm working a basketball game so I'll be dealing with frazzled folks for a while, wonder what excuses they'll use this time. *Also prays for CrazedClerk*

Saturday I'll either be pimping out fresh pasta or working in the salad bar. I'll be laughing, though, when management starts making announcements that the CCs are down, and to please use the ATM...until the ATM runs out of money.

I'll be slinging hash* December twenty-third. And I am confident that I will be slinging hash no more frantically than usual. Though I'm a bit worried about the credit card terminals going down.

*Without me, hash would go unslung. It would just sit there. Can't hold with motionless hash. No sir.

Egads, I'm working 12pm to 9pm on the 23th, and 8am to 5pm on the 24th. Thank God I don't have to close those days. I already have a few bottles of Mickey's and some Jager waiting for me in the fridge though.

I have off Saturday AND Sunday (first weekend off in almost 2 months)! But...I have to work 2-10 PM on Christmas Day, which means no family time. Oh well.
            I'm bringing disdain back...with a vengeance.

Oh, and your tool box called...you got out again.

Yesterday was our last big day for sales, and it was more-or-less a normal day. I'm glad it was fairly normal, since by nine am of Wednesday, I'd worked an extra ten hours this week so far.

              Still, that's wholesale for you...

Dec. 23 is on Saturday . . . and I'm stuck working 2:45 until close.

But, after I make it through that shift (hopefully without killing any customers) I don't return to work until Wednesday Dec. 27. I have Christmas Eve and the Day after Christmas off.

I think sales at my store will turn out to be pretty good.

This year's Black Friday was better than last year's. and it's been pretty steady since. Plus we haven't had any real big snowstorms that keep people home.

We're still getting slammed with freight though, and we've lost a good chunk of our backroom. All the Valentine's candy is coming in along with new spring items. Lots of new furniture, plus exercise equipment is big after the new year. I can't imagine where we're going to put all the patio furniture that will start coming in soon.

Not that it's anything for me to worry about. I'm going on vacation to Las Vegas for 5 days on January 1, and I work overnight so I don't worry about where to backstock all the furniture.

And just wait for the CC terminals to start going down about 2:01 on Saturday. Anybody here working retail that day having to deal with the tidal wave of shoppers has my complete and utter sympothy.

Try being the one who has to fix all of those terminals when they go down.

Crack of dawn to 3:30 on Sun...

Bad news is: I'll get no sleep for Sunday
Good news is: I've been in overtime since the middle of my shift today!

I work 10-6 tomorrow. I'm in the bakery, but I have this feeling I'll get pulled at some point to cashier since they're a bit short (I was on most of my shift today). And Indiana has blue laws, so tomorrow is the LAST opportunity to buy alcoholic beverages anywhere in the state (carry out anyway, bars can still serve) till Tuesday.

                            I work 8-5... I'm stoked! But I'm also a commissioned employee...

So not only will time fly because it's busy, but I'll make some good money too. Muhahahaha!! I love it! I really do!

Woohooo!!! Now that I am not affiliated with cash in any way, I never have to deal with that part of it at all.

I used to be the one who had to deal with it, because at least one always seemed to go down on my shifts!!!
