If someone fell over him he would be more likely to say

John Goodman (extremely cool unless he gets swarmed by fangirls)
A number of local newscasters (they qualify as celebs here!)
The lady who used to do the voiceovers from local PBS -- her voice is that distinctive (and pleasant; she did it for 40+years) that people recognize her by that alone

Well, I did meet the local Elvis impersonator a few years back, he's well known here and had a few older fangirls going after him. O.o Also had my picture taken last year with the local weatherman.

Those two are just local things. My store had some things bought by the crew of Extreme Makeover a couple of years ago, the ASM at the time was all giddy and stuff. Too bad it was my day off.
Eh, one day I'll have something useful here. Until then, have a cookie or two.

Years ago I worked at a restaurant that was on the way to the airport.

            I have waited on:
Randall Cunningham (from the Philadelphia Eagles, not nice at all)
Will Smith (before Jada. He was super nice, but his entourage was not)
Jaleel White (Steve Urkel from Family Matters, very nice)
Carrot-Top (the comedian, super jerk, not funny. Very rude)
Charles Barkely (possibly the nicest celebrity I have ever met)
Louis Farrakhan (not nice at all, very snobby. I didn't wait on him, he actually requested an African American server)

I went to college with Kim Rhodes (she is the mom on "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" (she was extremely nice at school)
I went to high school with Tina Fey. She is also very nice.

I met Teller (from Penn and Teller) at a play in Philly. He was slightly stand-offish, but my hubby thought he was great!

Yes, he did, but not a lot.
It seems he likes to wander into college productions when he is on tour.
Looking back, I think that is pretty cool.

One of Fiance's clients was an NBA team that includes a star who has a very famous wife. Fiance met most of the team at a corporate event (they were nice enough) and shot an ad for the very famous wife, who wouldn't talk to anyone other than her sister. They got the sense that she wouldn't talk to anyone because she thought she was too awesome to talk to them.

Fiance also did some ads with players from an AHL team (minor league hockey). They aren't really famous, but they were nice guys and patient with the whole filming thing.

That's okay, Sheldon, we just assume that all of your posts are potentially NSFW...

I served Normand Brathwaite last Christmas (French-Canadian performer, currently co-hosting Belle et Bum).
I only realized it was him once he was up at my till and I happened to look UNDER his bright red cap.
I played it cool cuz I had heard he was really hard to serve because he was quick to anger. He apparently threw a tantrum at my grandfather who was working at the train station's ticket booth.

depends on how famous you want to consider them...

back in the mid 90s i found out that my karate teacher was the lead guitarist for a local blues group (one that got semi-famous back in the 80s or so, the group even backed John Lee Hooker for one of his tours).

and back at my first college (Fredonia) they had a former graduate as the guest speaker - Mary McDonnell. this was maybe fall 1991, about a year after Dances With Wolves came out, so it drew a pretty big crowd.

and if you want to count twitter i had 2 replies from neil gaiman
                            (and i rickrolled him)

The band 3 doors down and the travelling cast of Rent before my mom and I moved here (And before I ever started working in the hotel).

Met.. Lucifer from Supernatural. God he was fun. Especially after I came up from clocking in and squeaked, "Holy hell it's Lucifer." I nearly killed the man.

Brian Jun, who's an indie director and locally from here.

Alton Brown, who came to my town of the same name, and went to a bar here. Also stayed at our hotel for a bit.

Oh Um.. *goes to imdb* I'll probably call her the wrong name. I wanna call her bitch though. Bellamy Young. She had her hair dyed red. She was mean. Expected the staff to fawn over her. Stomped over to Holiday when we didn't. Mark / Lucifer though it was great.
