My current resume is off being proofread before I send it. I have cover letter, resume, and an email note already set up. Plus I got off my behind and set up the email and twitter accounts I've been thinking about for a while - using the name of the store I eventually want to open. It's a play on a grape name and the name of one of my cats.
Now I just have to figure out why GMail will let me SEND as a particular address, but not RECEIVE. *confused*
You can set up automatic forwarding at the location of the "receive" email. I do that from work -- I have any outside emails copied to my gmail, so I get them when out of the office.

But it doesn't work for multiple gmail accounts. Which is what I have, and is what I'm trying to figure out.
Basically, I have my personal gmail account. I've used that for years, it's my standard. But it's not the best email to use for professional purposes, so I've created the second email for that. What I'd like to do is have the second email land in the primary email's inbox. Doesn't seem to be any way to work that out, though.
They've confirmed receipt of the resume and are reviewing it.
Based off what I see on Twitter, I think I'm up against at least one wine person who doesn't understand social media, and two social media people who aren't winegeeks. Hopefully my combination of both is what gets me in.
But I'm also the furthest applicant, commute-wise. All the others are already in NJ.
I've got my old Gmail account set to forward to my current account...
And if they're using Outlook they see the address you actually sent from, not the address you sent as. Gmail lets you access other accounts using POP3 (i.e. it's a mail client too, not just a web interface for a specific account).
Wow, that's something I didn't know about Outlook. Thank you!
For now I just have it set up so my new addy is on the notifier, and the personal one is being kept open. That way I can switch to the new one if a reply pops up.
My stomach is full of butterflies. I can't expect to hear anything today, but that isn't keeping me from rabidly refreshing the notifier and begging for a reply.
Yeah, when I reply to a "auto-forwarded" email, Outlook users see the sender as "erickei's gmail addy on behalf of erickei's work addy"
