It's been a good excuse for me to get the wine-related email address, Twitter account, and blog up and running, though. Using the name I plan on using for my eventual store.

You're good to me. You show me who is calling, take messages, and give me texts from my friends.
But, phone, there's a problem. Lately you've been giving me numbers I don't recognize. Then when I pick up the call, it's either someone from my bank, someone from the cable company, or someone from the utilities company with a survey or a bit of information.
Do me a favour, phone? Please make sure the next unrecognized number on caller ID comes with a call from the job I just applied for. Cause I can't deal with more of these adrenaline rushes.
Ok, so it was after emailing them. And they do want to see more of my tech background, since I sent my wine resume last time. So I sent my tech resume. And we'll see what the response is...
BUT
The media director person seemed to like my wine experience, she was relatively enthusiastic, and said because the job includes one day in the store (four days in the office), they really want someone who knows wine.
Your little chat with the Phone seemed to work . Must have scared it . Thinking positive thoughts for you, good luck!
Engaged to the amazing Marmalady. She is my Silver Dragon, shining as bright as the sun. I her Black Dragon (though good honestly), dark as night..fierce and strong.
I'm starting to think I'll never get this job. I haven't heard anything, positive or negative, in a week. Not even a "thanks" for the tech resume.
But I don't want to go spreading my resume all over the city without knowing one way or the other. I'd rather not piss off a bunch of small retailers (who might only interview one or two people for a position) in favour of the Giant Wine Media Company.
But I've seen some of the other applicants on Twitter. There are a ton of PR people, and another ton of Seriously Experienced Wine People. I'm feeling a bit...lacking next to them. Maybe it's just my mood today, but there's this thought in the back of my head that if they really wanted me, they would have jumped and offered an interview already.
Should I email them again? What do I say, if I do?
1129. I will refrain from casting Dimension Jump and Magnificent Mansion on every police box we pass.

I'd email them if it was me and it was a job I was this excited about. I'd say something like, "I recently sent you my resume and haven't received a reply. I was just wondering if you received it yet or have had a chance to look at it." Or something along those lines; word it in your own style. I've usually had good results with that.
And while you're waiting, update your blog! I've been poking it for two weeks.
I know! I know! I really need to get the second, third, and fourth articles edited and posted. We've been SLAMMED at work, and I've barely been online as a result. I'll get one up tomorrow and another queued for Monday or Tuesday.
