Speaking of X transactions per minute. I have to do that script, repeat the order two more times, and make them feel welcome and special (seriously?). Then I have to implore them to come back. All in less than four minutes. I get yelled at if the customer orders at the window. Or if they want something at the last minute (a cup of water, always a cup of water). Or if they feel like eating half their sandwich in drive (seriously???). I'm punished for things I couldnt possibly have control over.

the survey customers respond to actually asks "Do you FEEL the employees hustled?" Our satisfaction scores promptly plummeted.

Stuff like this just throws off my entire rhythm.

I know what I want. I know how to order it quickly, clearly, and provide all relevant info. If I have a coupon I present it at the very start of the transaction. I have my money ready, being held in my hand when I approach the register.

But then a lot of the questions are just...baffling. Like at Jack they have the really big chicken sandwich combo. I get asked what size drink I want and if I want curlyfries with it. I want exactly what is pictures on the menu. No more, no less.

Also, it already comes with curlyfries. Not sure why I keep getting asked if I want curlyfries with it.

Its like that old joke, ordering just some french fries at McDonalds, and being asked if you want fries with that.

Deviation from script gets fifty chicken patties pelted at you. I ask anyways because they send auditors through our store CONSTANTLY. If you dont ask, you get marked down. If you fail the audit, you get suspended without pay immediately.

and it isnt particularly hard to fail an audit.
