The head shop (er, I'm sorry, "smoking lifestyle" shop) down the street from my apartment cards EVERYBODY. Even if you're in there every day and you look 100 years old, they still card you to even set foot into the place.

Believe me, I'm used to it by now.

uh... not that uh... you'd ever find me in that kind of place..

I was ready to do that when the new pseudoephedrine law came out, (tell people to call thier congressman who voted for it) but, surprisingly, I didn't have a single complaint....
I got a few from some preppy people. All I did was shrug and say sorry.

It's a lot easier now that everything is rx-only, but we get grumped at regularly by people who STILL don't know about the change, or other people who can't get more than 5 refills since the legislature had it classified as C-III, (complete caca in my opinion, but whatever).
I also can't get in a lot of the combos, which isn't any skin off my nose, I'm happier to restrict these bozos to just the 30mg tabs or liquid or to loratidine-D. Much easier to keep track of. Insurance doesn't cover it, either, and for some reason the people who handle the pricing have it at the minimum dispensing fee, so it's $11.99 whether you only get a script for 20 or for 100.

I'd like to see that! They should sell popcorn. :insert CSSlave's popcorn-eating avatar here:
I had a chance to do something similar when a Massachusetts state agency wanted to order from us.

I insisted they supply us with written proof they were tax-exempt if they didn't want to pay sales tax.
The best karma is letting a jerk bash himself senseless on the wall of your polite indifference.

The stupid is strong with this one.

          Raps

Frachtung sounds like a great idea. We did something like this with my main Cubs group.

It started when we got into a discussion about gay marriage and I revealed my cousin is gay and has been with someone for 10 years and they had a commitment ceremony.

People got all bent out of shape because I never mentioned it before accusing me of being ashamed of my cousin or hiding information.

WHY THE BLANK would I reveal I have a gay cousin in a Cubs internet group? What am I supposed to say "I think the Cubs need a new SS and I have a gay cousin?"

We had fun with it. For a week or so everyone ended their posts with "I have or I don't have a gay cousin"

            When people act like asshats

I am just glad when I see people act like that about being carded or some other minor inconvenience that their kids are being spared a beating for a little while becauise that's what kind of people raise royal fusses over things like this.

Most likely they drove to the store so where's their driver's license?

              Checking id

OOh wow, you will have lots of fun with that. I have to do this at my job alot. To amuse myself I make a note of the varied reactions people give.

My fav one at the moment is along the lines of
"What? I will not have that, go and FETCH me a manager immediately"
...but I'm a bastard and so desensitized to the scum of humanity that I'm immune to the Stun status effect.

I can't stand it when they use the term 'fetch'. We're human beings, not dogs!

I think my favorite response from customers who don't get what they want is "What am I supposed to do?" I always want to answer in snarky ways.
