Take care of yourself, Raps. A fib is definitely manageable though. Good Luck and may your fur stay intact.

Oh, I've done the research. I promised the doctor I'd be googling the hell out of it and she warned me of what I already knew - look at one article on wikipedia, click three links, and be convinced you have brain cancer. I know the traps
I'm pretty calm and sanguine about it - things are being treated, I slept a bit better last night after the increased dose, and I'm back on Friday morning for more monitoring.
Farting like a trooper, though. Not sure if that's a standard side effect of bisoprolol. Might just my natural boyish charm.

Visited the GP today and she's happy that I'm tolerating the medication, as well as my internal heart rate being down to the 90bpm area. My blood pressure on the beta blocker is within acceptable levels as well, so it's going to be a couple of weeks before I see her again, and she's going to try and chivvy along the hospital.

Well, I had an appointment with the doctor on Friday. Blood pressure is a bit higher than it should be, but this is temporary. Doctor not that concerned. She was slightly surprised that I was looking forward to cardioversion as long as I'm a suitable candidate.
I had to explain that six months ago, had I needed to move two 25Kg sacks of flour a hundred yards in our warehouse, I'd have had the option to be stupid and move them on one shoulder at the same time. Now I'm winded slightly just walking a hundred yards on the flat. I'm sort of used to it, but as I explained I feel as if I've aged thirty years in the space of two months.
Fortunately, I'm getting no worrying symptoms from the interior of the chest right now, thanks to the beta blocker. However, my guts are more frequently productive, shall we say.
On the real plus side, the doctor was impressed that I was going to take a couple of weeks off to recuperate after the treatment and at my suggestion said she'd happily sign a sick note. We get full pay from day one of sickness, so I'm more than happy to do this for once. I could use holiday, but as the doctor said, holidays are for time off. I have a bunch of holiday I carry over from year to year, effectively a month's worth, and I've been justifying doing this in case I end up medically incapacitated to give me some fiscal leeway. However, it looks as if I'm going to get to keep that.
Woo!
Sort of planning a week hunting castles in Wales. Been putting up some of the results of castle hunting on the FB page, so I should be able to make massive headway into my intended average of one per month this year.
