Whenever someone says "it's just flu" I like to point out that the Spanish flu outbreak after WW1 killed more people than the war itself. It infected about a third of the world's population, and is believed to have caused 50,000,000 - 100,000,000 deaths (the large range is due to the difficulties determining what strain, or sometimes what disease, was responsible).

Lots of coughing, sinus pressure, even lost my voice for a few days. It seems to have receded again; all I've got is the occasional cough now. Let's hope it's actually going away this time.
