I had a tubal done after my third child. I was supposed to have one after my daughter was born because I have complicated pregnancies and since we had a boy and a girl I said no more and hubby said that was fine. Turned out though that I went for pretesting before surgery and the nurse came in and said I am sorry we can't do your tubal, you are already pregnant
And yes, we took precautions, they just didn't work. My youngest son was just meant to be I guess
So anyway (TMI) I have not had my visitor for the last two months. I also had this weird feeling and cramping that I was worried about. You know how when you play with a rubber band and it pops you feel the vibration of it? That is what is felt like in my tubal area and then I had really bad cramping for a few days with some funky discharge. I have had cramping on and off ever since but no period. So I decided it was time to go get checked out. The nurse was awesome and talked with me about everything going on and then went to get the doctor. The doctor came in and was overly rushed it seemed like. She said she was gonna go ahead and do a pap since it was about that time anyway and I said OK. She did that and then did a few pushes on my abdomen and told the nurse to order labs. She pulled off her gloves and left. I was expecting her to ask me questions or answer question I might have had but ok. Oh, and they had light up speculums instead of the light on the head thing which was really cool and didn't feel like there was a miner going on an expedition down there, lol
So I get to the lab and the nurse told me take a seat but then the person that was going to take my blood says, no sit outside and I will come get you. I sit and wait then she finally comes to get me. Now I figured I would have to have blood drawn and I am always nervous. Not that I am scared of needles. I am a very hard stick and usually it takes 4 or more times to get something. I always end up telling them that and also tell them that I usually end up with a butterfly in the forearm or wrist and can they go ahead and just go for that. ANd I always get told, lets see what we have first and they want to try multiple sticks in both elbow bends. Then they finally go for the butterfly in the forearm or wrist and say they hate going for that area because it hurts the worst so they wanted to try the arms first. Yeah, like it didn't hurt for you to dig that needle around several times before doing what I told you would work in the first place
She finally gets some blood and the other lab person comes in and looks at my chart and sees what one of the blood tests is for. For a possible ectopic pregnancy but I guess she just sees for HCG levels. She kind of mutters under her breath, Miss one cycle and run to the doctor for a blood test
I let her know I heard that, I kind of snapped and smartlassedly said, well I have had a tubal and I am two months late and having other pregnancy symptoms so I needed to come in to make sure I was not having an ectopic pregnancy that would rupture and kill me. She kind of
and left the room.
I am already worried enough plus I just had Miss Porcupine over here digging in my arm several times when she could have hit the vein the first time if she would have listened. I didn't get to ask the doctor any questions because she was in a hurry so I did not get any of my fears put at ease. I don't need you to be a smart ass to me too.

I did do a little research and found some instances where someone had a cyst burst and it felt like a rubberband popping in there. My grandmother has really bad cysts in her ovaries, well she did until she had all that removed. So I am hoping it is just something like that and not a pregnancy.
