Learn enough ASL to tell Mister Asshole that he either stops being an asshole and communicates w/ pen and paper or keep acting like an asshole and be banned for the rest of his miserable life and escorted off the premises by the men/women in blue. .
I actually do use ASL. I tried to say something but he was seriously flying off the handle and I was too shocked I still had a hard time processing on my way home

Disabled people come in the same varieties as able-bodied: some nice, some nasty, most middling.

I'm with AccountingDrone. It's not anyone else's fault. Luck of the genetic draw.

For me to take it out on other people would be horrid of me; and wouldn't assist the quality of my life or theirs. Instead, let's aim for the best mutual quality of life possible, and the most pleasant interaction we can manage
This, so much this. I know I am not well. It's not my fault, but it is not anybody elses either. Sometimes I can not do what I could before..it just isn't possible. I try, and I am stubborn, but the limitations my body has is now more then it did have. So to be an asshat about it would solve NOTHING, except to make people not want to deal with me. I am often thankful when I get help, grateful.

Sometimes I can get stubborn and insist on doing something myself, because I will be danged if I will let it beat me..but I never snip at somebody because they try to help. A simple "I will do this, thank you." solves a lot of problems..non?
Engaged to the amazing Marmalady. She is my Silver Dragon, shining as bright as the sun. I her Black Dragon (though good honestly), dark as night..fierce and strong.
