In-n-Out caused quite a stir when they showed up here. I avoided it for a long time.
When I finally tried it, well, I agree it's a good burger. It's not a great burger by any means. But, it just might be the best burger you can get for the price. Better burgers generally cost two, three, or four times as much as a burger at In-n-Out. So, I guess you could say it's not an awesome burger, but it's an awesome value.

Next time I'm at the AF Museum, might have to check that out...Quoth Geek King View PostI've never understood the KK infatuation. To my taste, they're just too sweet. I'll just have to console myself with Bill's Donuts on the way to work. They've only made a couple of national top 10 donut lists

We're getting a Panera in my town. Its a little college town. I think they're supposed to open sometime in the next month or two as they're already starting to hire. I'm wondering how many accidents there will be that day due to the size of the parking lot and the way that the road is in that side of town. People around here go nuts on opening day. Thankfully its only limited to the first 2-3 days a place is open. After that everyone is like "Meh...we've got another place ta go to in town."

Yes, when they're fresh and warm off the assembly line, they're very tasty. When they cool down, they're no better than any other donut.Quoth sms001 View PostAs a former Mr. Donut baker, I'd say they are superb, FRESH. I've never understood why anyone would eat them at another store though. Even an hour or so ruins their appeal.
Me, if I want a donut fix, I go to Voodoo Doughnut!

Does unlimited really mean without number? Is there anything to stop him having the entire stock of donuts and selling them on for half-price
? I would just collect unlimited donuts and go round handing them out to anyone who wanted one..

Sounds a bit like when Chick-fil-a first opened in GJ a few years ago. They had a promo that the first...300 or 500 (I forget how many exactly) people through the doors would get a year's supply of free sandwich coupons. Hundreds of people, my sister included, camped out in the parking lot the night before it opened. And once they got there, they could not leave their place in line for anything.Last edited by firecat88; 07-21-2014, 07:50 PM.

I see this all the time whenever something new opens in my area that we don't have. Store, restaurants etc. I always wait until the hubbub has died down. I'm not going to die if I don't get in on the first day. I hate crowds too, so its better for me anyway.

They did here, too, but they've since reopened.Quoth siskaren View PostActually, where I live, all the Krispy Kreme stores closed down.
(I'm not sure when they opened [late '90s, maybe?], but I think they became victims of the low-carb craze.)
And I can top y'all on the "cops and donuts". One of Albuquerque's finest and the civilian pilot decided, while on night patrol in APD's helicopter, decided that they needed donuts. Guess what they did.
Even the APD spokesman then said, "I don't know how they decided this was a good idea."
And the one they went to is 1/4 mile from me and I never heard it.

Yeah it was bad in Melbourne back when it opened here. I know that there were massive traffic problems for weeks around the store.
And as an admitted sugar addict, that can happily eat a family sized bag of Allen's lollies in half a movie, I can say that those doughnuts are so full of sugar that they make me ill. 2 bites of a 'plain' one and I was completely hyper.

I think he's going to share his supply outQuoth Food Lady View PostThe first guy gets free donuts for a year and diabetes for the rest of his life?
These guys will probably last a while. Starbucks was popular for a time back home, then it closed down. I find them too sweet personally >_>
