Sigh. I join you in your pain. 8.5-9, DDDD. With a semi narrow heel that in NO way makes life any easier. And short toes, high arches and insteps, and on my left foot, Morton's Neuroma, with the resulting edema. Oh, and NOW?! Arthritis... Finding comfortable shoes to wear for work is merely difficult. Finding nice shoes to wear on a date or family dressy event has yet to happen at all.

I tell people I have my Swede fathers little duck shaped feet... At one point, we had identical walking shoes from Rockport, and the wear wrinkles in them were the same, in the same locations! That was amusing to me!

LOL My dad and I have workboots that are alike, with matching wear wrinkles and rubbed spots on the sides where we walk on the outsides of our feet.

I can swap shoes with my dad. Our feet are the same size. Mine might be a tad wider. If he buys a pair of boots and they wind up being uncomfortable, he gives them to me. I just inherited a 200$ pair of thinsulated Wolverines.

Size 3 length, EEEE width, collapsing arches so custom insoles. Recently discovered Padders, who do unusual sizes; you don't often find them in store, mainly online. I don't know if that's any help?

I'm technically a Men's US size 13.5ish~14 EEEE, and have been since I was 13 -- and you know what they say about guys with big feet, eh, ladies...? ...That's right, it's damn hard to find shoes our size! I've seldom found shoes under a size 15 in my width, anywhere; in some brands, I even need to go for a 16! x.x

Shoes, gah... I wear a 10.5, women's. I wanted to try on Reebok Crossfit shoes but I can't because they don't make them in my size. *shrugs* I get that all the time.

I wear 10 or 11 depending on the style, and I also get that. I usually wear men's shoes if I'm wearing them with slacks, and I have exactly two pairs of dressy shoes to wear with dresses.

SparklyTurtle, I might have a resource for you. There's a site that makes custom shoes - they are not cheap but the shoes they make get really awesome reviews. A blogger friend of mine was offered a promo deal through them several years ago. She designed herself some adorably retro-looking pumps and said they were amazingly comfortable. I know she wore the heck out of them and they still looked pretty good a couple years later. I'll PM you the site name. They have US sizes up to 13 in all styles; some go up to 15.

I used to love Zappos but then they stopped accepting Paypal and when I complained they claimed it was actually to "improve" customer service Not quite sure how limiting your payment options improves service, but whatever.

US Women's size 10 Wide, high arches, possible arthritis (did have gout in the left foot, though it's subsided for now). I used to enjoy long walks, now even brief walks hurt after a while. And it's next to impossible to find footwear for work or dress.

US Women's 9.5-10 here (my right foot is a touch longer than my left, so I always go to the bigger size). As for insoles, I recently bought a pair of Footsmart 'custom' (moldable in the oven) insoles and they seem to be fixing my supination issue.

For some reason last year mom thought that I wore a 9 O_o so I have two pairs of Converse that I can't wear at all (I know they were cheap and the store doesn't have half sizes, but that doesn't mean a full size lower will magically fit). For a few months both of my big toenails were threatening to become ingrown on the outer edge, it stopped when she finally listened and got me a pair of size 10s.

I hate that kind of bs. They may well have perfectly good reasons for dropping PayPal (low use + high fees would be my guess), but that doesn't make it better for the customers!

Also, on the shoe thing: New Balance makes all of their sneakers in multiple widths, including the half-sizes. They are the only ones I wear because they work, and I can't be bothered to figure out another company whose products fit well.

I'm a men's 11 1/2 5E size, and for the longest time, New Balance was the only shoe I could get. I'd have to go to 1/2 inch larger size in their 4E shoe, but it worked.

Now, I found a couple of other brands that worked for my feet: There is a store in the mall that I found a pair of Nike walking shoes in size 12 wide width that fit, and I'm currently wearing a pair of Skechers cross-trainers in size 12 4E that have been very comfortable.

I also have wide feet (usually order a 7 1/2 wide) and not only do I have a hard time trying to find a style that I like, it's colors are sometimes not available in wider widths.

I may find a pair that I like that comes in 5 colors, but the wide is only available in one or 2 of those colors.

And yes, I've bought from Roamans before. Since it was my first online order, I had a coupon code that gave me 40% off, which helped quite a bit. Ordered a pair of black Softwalk Adora slip on shoes (regulary $109) and with the coupon, spent around 65 for them.

And those Adoras have lasted 3 years and in retirement. The left sole is split all the way across. But since I've had to deal with rough patches on the sides of my feet (usually the sides of the big and little toes) from wearing those things, I've got my eyes on a pair of Comfort View loafers that Woman Within has currently for around $45. I'll have to order those next weekend, as my back up shoes are in worse shape (stitching around the top is coming loose and the bottom of the left shoe has a giant hole worn where the big toe sits.)

Another plate that good is Amazon. I have several pairs saved on my wish list that I'll start getting soon (need at least 2 pairs of shoes that I can wear to work.)

Thank Goodness I can order what I need online . . . what few places that carry shoes on my side of town has a crappy selection and not much to speak of when it comes to casual and/or dress loafers (which is what I prefer for work rather than sneakers.) And the other places that I've checked out their shoes either look too cheap or they are way too expensive (I'm not spending over $200 on one pair of shoes.)
