This is more of a 'hearing' rather than a sighting.
Elderly relative went to local foofy tearoom (I'm being snarky; I want to go to this place myself
) with three friends. Tearoom opens at 11:30 a.m. They got there quite early. Owners pull up around 11:15 a.m. (No, I don't know why they show up that close to opening ... maybe all the prepping and whatnot was done the night before?)
Owners tell the group they don't open for another 15 minutes. It's cold, damp and windy out.
Before the 15 minutes are up, relative goes and BANGS the knocker on the door. Owner opens it and tries to say again they're not open yet and (according to relative's narration) "I just PUSHED past her and walked in! I mean, we're a bunch of old gray-haired ladies! And it was cold out!"
My first thought was "Then why didn't you all go sit in somebody's car where you'd at least be out of the wind?"
I'm 60. I don't consider my age or my gray hairs to be some kind of pass-card. If they let me in early, that's cool. If not, I'll sit in my car and read until the doors DO open. So basically, I find this attitude and behaviour unreasonable.
Or am I missing something?

I think this place is run by two women of average height and weight, though, so ...
