Since we're on the subject, anyone have any suggestions of Canadian stores/sites for the same thing? The only place I've found a decently supportive bra for my girls in the last 10 years is SportChek, and as comfy as they are, they aren't...they don't... um... not nicely flattering under my work clothes. It's impossible to find a bra that is both attractive AND comfortable/supportive around here if you're bigger than a 36-C, or so it appears.

I love advertizing the site too. When I was last in TN (getting my saturn titled in my name earlier in the month) I stopped by a local kitty grocer (food Lion) to get Dukes Mayo. They don't seem to sell it in Texas except in Sugar land and I rarely go down there myself. While I was in line, this woman in the line behind me was telling the bagger that he should go to her house to take the groceries in. The entire time I was listening the guy was all and kindly objecting.
Was the lady being serious about it?
I get offers like that all the time, but they're always only joking.

I don't know Gawdzillers, but she sure sounded like it and basically left in a huff. I don't know if she was a family member that was picking on him or if it was true Suckola.

You didn't say how large you are, but I'm a 38D and I like the fairly inexpensive Gilligan & O'Malley bras at Target. They go up to 40DD. I don't feel so guilty when they don't survive the wash as when I wore Wacoal. Awesome bras, best of the best, but you have to be properly fitted, and NOT cheap. But, properly cared for, they last for years.

I worked at Nordstrom many years ago (hate hate hate them) but they do carry bras up to DDD, which is the equivalent of an F cup.

Okay, I'll say it first. Thread is useless without pics
Pics or it didn't happen eh?

Sadly I don't have any G rated pics of me. Every picture of me is me with my son who has a habit of yanking mama's shirt down as daddy tries to take a picture.

I came here to say that. Also, those stick girls should stop looking at fashion magazines to determine what is attractive. If they wanna know what guys like, they should pick up a lad mag. ^_^

Props to the manager for dealing with the SC's the right way!

I LOVE Lane Bryant - I'm in Canada, and when I go stateside, its one of the first stops I make. I too have problems buying bras and though I'm a G cup, I've found that I can comfortably wear their F-cup Cacique soft-cup bras without a problem and they are VERY comfortable. There's only one store near me that carries above a DDD/F cup and their bras are $80 and up. Ridiculous.

40D, but there're no Targets or Nordstroms here in Nova Scotia. There is a specialty store in downtown Halifax, but it's hard for me to get to and fookin' expensive to boot. I just can't afford to spend $100 on one bra.

I have trouble finding good bras too. Seems most stores around here have 36D/DD (my size, pre- and during-pregnancy) as their upper limit for 36, which seems to mean that all the good bras stop just shy of that cup size, and all the bras in that size are junk that stretch out within two weeks. Seriously, even the maternity store stops just shy in all the good bra styles. I feel sorry for two of my sisters, who need larger sizes than I do.

Anyone who goes into a plus-size store to make fun of the clothes is a sad, sorry person. I might express amazement at how large some of the clothes might get (as I may be tall, but I'm not that wide and therefore not used to that much fabric going into one clothing item), but I certainly wouldn't go in with a friend just to mock everything.

Hyndis, you just might be stuck needing to get custom-tailored shirts for that problem. Hubby is tall, but exceptionally thin, and thus a lot of his dress shirts that fit well in arm-length and torso-length are quite loose on him. They look fine along most of his chest, but right around the neck they look oversized, like he's wearing his dad's shirt, unless he's wearing a tie as well. The only shirts that look well-fitted on him are the one custom-tailored one he has (which was made to his exact measurements), and the black one (black seems to hide the oversized-ness of the shirt).

I'm just glad that people seem to be making taller pants without adding inches to the waist too. Used to be I either had to buy pants with waists a good half-foot to a foot wider than my own waist and wear a belt with them, or deal with six inches of ankle showing whenever I sat down. Now I've got well-fitted pants that still go down plenty far enough, without having to go to specialty stores. Yay!

Actually, there aren't any Targets in Canada at all, that I'm aware of, and the site doesn't give a hint that there are any.

A quick google search found some stores that will ship to Canada, but unfortunately nothing local. Sorry

As for bras, I have the opposite problem, I'm a 46B. I have trouble with most tops too, and dresses. When I shop, everything I find seems to assume that if you're overweight, you auto-magically get huge knockers

And major kudos for the shop staff
