My friend's 73 Pally likes to just randomly buff others...

I've had a ton of people buff my huntress with the level 0 Shaman skill (the one that buffs intelligence...)

in my current game (Ancient Anguish) you can also steal from other players - well the rogues can. so i spent 500 gold (we only have gold in the game) on a worm to guard my pockets.... especially since one of the thieves stole some minor stuff from me. Though it may have been cheaper to let him steal... it was the principle of it.

At the same time... i'll easily give a newbie 5000 gold and then buy them some weapons and armor once in a while... mostly cos i have like 700,000 in the bank anyway and usually make more than i spend, even after the donations! But... not to newbies who run around being jerks.. but just to new people who are polite and only asking for information.

luckily however... the people who run the game keep a careful eye on it and will address any issues of harassment or stuff where people make the game suck for others or break the rules.

(OH and no it's not illegal to play a thief... i have one myself, but she won't ever get in trouble cos she doesn't steal from other players... she just likes running around 'hiding' lol)

And what happens when someone tries to steal with a worm in your pocket?

The worm will bite them and prevent them from stealing, OR it will make me aware of it, so i can see "Joeshmo has stolen blah from you". Which is enough evidence to file a complaint aginst the other person or try killing him/her.

and being a hard mark is much easier than being an easy one... not for the thief of course

Ah. Well, I've started a whole slew of brand spanking new chars, to get the feel for the classes... so, low level areas...
And that's the buff with the icon that looks like NeverWinter Night's box art?

Arcane Intelligence, it increases your intelligence by some percentage for some amount of time depending on the caster's level.

BTW best spell ever: polymorph. Turns enemies into sheep. Or if you have the right glyph, penguins.

Seems liek no matter which game I play people give me free stuff when I'm just doing my thing. The other day I was asking if anyone had a page and offered money for it. It was given to me.(I'm in a beta right now. Won't mention the name so that I won't have violated NDA.)
Is it too late to sign up for it? If not, PM me the URL for sign up?

Yes. There's Arcane intelligence, which is a half hour buff, Arcane Brilliance later on, which is a Group 1 hour buff, and Northrend variants Dalaran Intelligence and Dalaran Brilliance, which are a different look, but same effect.

                        Ah, WoW.
I'm one of those people who really has no life, and plays 60+ hours per week.

Yes, I hate beggars. No, you can't have 3g. Go make your own money, like everyone else.

"Is there a rogue trainer here?"
                        You're in Darnassus. You're a Night Elf. You're level 70.
How much did you pay for your account when you bought it on eBay?

"I've killed a zillion <something>, and no <whatever> has dropped. Is this quest bugged?"
No, you're an idiot who can't read. The quest says you get the drop from <something else>.

Don't get me started on the idiots I've met in pugs.
                        Too late.
A fury/arms warrior is not a good tank for heroics.
If I have no mana, this is not a good time for you to pull.
I don't know exactly what you're doing wrong, but you should be able to out-dps the tank.
If you're going to insist on a) standing in front of the cleave, or b) standing in the aoe, or c) pulling aggro because you can, I will a) not heal you, or b) not heal you, or c) not heal you.
If you've been a whiny douche the entire run, you shouldn't ask if you can join our guild.

                        Recent positive encounter:
I had a bank alt standing in a corner in IF for a while (I dual box, so I had him parked out of the way).
[Randomguy] whispers "Hey! What's that guy doing in the corner? Is he taking a piss? Guards, there's a guy pissing in the corner!"
[Me] "Sorry, I looked all over and couldn't find a single bathroom in IF. I really had to go."
[Randomguy] "Yeah. These Dwarves drink so much that they've gotten really good at holding it I guess."

Okay, now I'll grant ya that I've wondered this a time or two myself...but usually I figure out it's because I'm in a raid group before I embarrass myself.

However...so many, many of my guildmates (and this IS a raiding guild) can't seem to remember this from day to day. It makes me sad.

Actually my biggest problem is that a lot of the Northrend quests require and extra step to receive the quest loot (Such as using an item on the corpse).

However, the quest text doesn't just say "Use this on the dead guy and bring me whatever." They've gotten a bit more vague with their instructions.

Just yesterday I had one that just said "Go here and looking through these corpses", so I go and find the corpses, I loot like 15 of em and they don't drop a thing. Then I opened my inventory and realized that all of them were giving me some sort of bag... which I had to open each one individually in order to get what was inside.

I had my quest item after like the 3rd bag...

I guess it's my fault the way I have my chat window setup, my loot message only appear for about half a second (They usually get pushed off by experience or reputation gains)

I am pretty lazy about quests these days...my love is raiding so I just wanna burn through and get to level cap as quickly as possible when I have to level a toon...so I don't even really like to stop and read the descriptions much.

Because of that and the fact that I am hopelessly directionally challenged...QuestHelper saves my life. So mostly I can just fly in the direction the arrow points me to and wave my cursor over mobs till I see what I need to kill.

But there are Northrend quests that QuestHelper isn't very helpful with because of the extra steps you mention. Some it knows, some it doesn't.

I've also noticed that it has a heck of a lot of trouble pointing me to the right Storm Peaks locations for some reason...not sure what's up with that.

Actualy the ones that quest helper is really screwing up for me?

The ones that say "Talk to Flight Master Lydia for a ride", and then QH puts it's icon on the actual location you're going to INSTEAD of the dummy you're suppose to talk to in order to get there.

So I end up running around for 15 minutes trying to find this guy... I never did find the one in Warsong... I just ended up abandoning that quest... seriously hate that outpost, 4 different levels, which require that you go up and down 2 set stairs, a HIDDEN ramp, and an elevator.

Then of course it's split into 3 different sections, and positioned at the bottom of a canyon, which requires that you run up some mob-infested scaffolding to get out of...

Then getting back INTO the place is just as bad, sure you can jump into the canyon, but if you miss the ledge that the outpost is propped up on, you end up in the bottom of the canyon surrounded by mobs, and have to run ALLLLL the way around to the front in order to get up and inside

                                ...yea... that place sucks.
