They are constantly bragging about bitching Blizz out for something or other, how someone got mad at a GM for not doing what he wanted and swore and then put the GM on ignore, and other such stupidities.
The stupid thing about that is that players are allowed to put GM's on ignore. Bad practice. If you've got someone who is in a trusted position where they need to interact with players and can resolve issues, they should not be in a position where players can ignore them.
"I pay your salary, therefore I have the right to insult you (Blizzard employees)."
The nerve of some people. Or should I say, the nerve of some people when they're protected by anonymity.
The nerve indeed.
That's why I don't play WoW, I play EQ2. Less population means less idiots to deal with.
Besides I love my Guild Hall as well as my Player House. I'm a decor freak. You should see how my house looks.
I'm waiting for someday that a dev comes up with a MMO that actually lets you purchase a parcel of land and build a dream house of your own design using some really cool tools and a bit of geography knowledge would help too.
EQ2 is fun and always has tons of stuff to do, so with less population means I don't have to squabble over quest mobs. More for me.

It's not possible to "put GMs on ignore". You can simply ignore them, but when you've done something bad, that won't get you far.
Of course, I hate beggers and I deal with this way.
I two boxed back in the days of EQ1, so I had my shaman STR buffed my Cleric and went to the bank to take out 10pp.
I went to the begger and gave it to him. He walked in a very, very, vert slow crawl towards the bank. The idiot accepted my 10pp in copper!
Plus he was in North Qeynos at the newbie killing grounds and the bank is in South Qeynos, so I can imagine in took him hours to get there.
My friend did the slow-run once, but that was after someone gave him 2500plat. It took STR and Speed buffs from two different classes, plus a bard running around him for him to even be able MOVE. (We had high level friends )
Took awhile, but he made it... and was rich!
P.S> Bard kept giving him crap too, lol was hilarious. The bard made the run between where he was and the bank about 100times before my friend got there. Just to show him how SLOW he actually was.

I think Darkfall might have something like that - if they ever release it...*sigh*

I wasn't 100% sure since I've never tried it, though one would think they could just take themselves off ignore, worst case. Probably the guy just had no more to say to my idiot guildie since he didn't want to hear anything other than yes, we will give you the refund...which was not going to happen.
Personally...even if I don't like the answer I get, I'm not going to risk pissing off a GM and getting banned, temp or otherwise. I like raiding too much.
Just the other day I encountered an in-game bully. Somehow my PVP flag got turned on, and this level 70 night elf hunter killed my level 40 blood elf mage. And camped the corpse.
Until a couple of level 80 orc death knights turned up and camped his corpse.
not to mention the SCs who beg .... and then try to threaten you for not donating. tho that woudl be it's own thread really
I see that all the time on Neopets too.
(Yes, I play Neopets. Stop laughing.)

Oh that's simple. what they do is PvP Flag themselves, then jump into your AoE attack... say like, Frost Nova
Which flags you.
Then they kill you.
I had an 80 Paladin try it against my death knight... what he didn't realize is that the AoE I was using, was a weapon proc, not a castable spell... and doesn't cause any damage to the enemy after the initial proc (only increases my own dmg), so it wouldn't turn on my flag.
I laughed in his face and kept killing. Just had to be sure not to trigger Death and Decay, THAT would have screwed me
i once started quite a bit uproar on one of the message boards ... cant remember if it was EQ's boards or the boards at Zebuxoruk.
I ran a post on how to properly get free stuff
And mostly my advice was do not beg, and went on to say that most of the time, when ever someone gave me something it was because I WASN'T begging.
yeah i was getting flamed for telling people.. the best way to get free stuff is to NOT ASK FOR IT. ... how can you get mad about someone saying "DON'T BEG"? but some of them did.... which proves that they weren't really *reading* just automtaically frothing at the mouth
But seriously... it's true.
I was once in EQ1 ... falling asleep while running through Qeynos. I remember seeing some other character and just standing there, almost asleep and he's staring back at me... Finally he says, "Are you going to beg?"
Me: ? um.. no... [hell i could barely keep my eyes open, in fact i was wondeirng what *he* wanted!]
Him: Ok <gives me stuff> You're the first person I've talked to today who hasn't begged!

In WoW, any time I get green or blue loot that I can't use I ask in guild chat if anyone wants it. If anyone in my guild does want it, they get it (usually in the post). If not I sell it.
Seems liek no matter which game I play people give me free stuff when I'm just doing my thing. The other day I was asking if anyone had a page and offered money for it. It was given to me.(I'm in a beta right now. Won't mention the name so that I won't have violated NDA.)
