I utterly despise that feature. 95% of the time, it "guesses" wrong.

    Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
If it guesses wrong, just try pressing the * button (may vary, depending on your phone's brand, but I'm pretty sure it's * on most of them). For example, when I try to write "home", I type 4663, but it brings "good" up. I press * and it's now "home". Without T9, "good" would have been 4 666 666 3 and "home" would have been 44 666 6 33. The longer the word, the more you save time.

It took me some time to adjust to T9 predictive writing - I really didn't understand the concept at all when I first encountered it : I tried typing as per usual, so of course it would come up with utter nonsense, and then beep angrily at me.

Anyway, even before the introduction of T9, I used to type almost every word in full.
