One thing I noticed was that the employee was by herself. That should be a big no-no to only have one employee working in Subway. Not only is it a safety concern but I'm sure that's completely illegal in most places, yet some greedy owners/managers do it anyway.
I went into a Subway once and there was only one person working. But there was a sign up saying they were hiring, and that one person was working her tail off! She was handling a huge lunch rush with more grace and patience than I could even imagine, and was going 100 miles an hour.

I wrote a letter to the manager, praising her. Too bad, it tuned out that she was the manager and all her employees had called out that day, but she thanked me for the letter anyway. Not sure how she knew it was me.

Thankfully I have good Subways by me. I just sadly don't go to them much due to lack of drive-thru. When you have 2 dogs you have to climb over that will bolt through the parking lot when your trying to pull out your 3 year old, you learn to just not get out of the car.
Have you tried looking for combo gas station/Subway locations nearby? I know there's one that I hit that's off the 14 freeway near Los Angeles.

I never said there weren't good Subway employees. I'm sure there are, and I'm completely aware of the Subway employees on these boards.

I am just cursed with every Subway around me filled with employees who think full price is cheaper than sub of the day price. Ugh.
Be sure to send in a letter to their site. Since it all goes through corporate before being disbursed to the franchise owners, they likely keep track of which sites are getting good messages and which ones are problems.

If you put details in the letter - day, time, and especially what you ordered, she would remember you from that, most likely. Some people have an ability to remember such things, I am pretty good at it myself. She likely has a brain that works similarly to mine, as it takes a certain type to do what she was doing!
