As for the OP, he sounds like the kind of people who grab me as I walk thru the store trying to get to the staff room for my break, and then subject me to a diatribe on how much they hate the fact that prices have gone up.

This must be a common thing. My Boss Lady told me a story just like that a few weeks ago. She wasn't happy about her service at the bank and made such a huge stink about it that somehow the bank made the employee call my store to apologize to her.

Afterwards, my Boss Lady bragged that the bank employee cried on the phone.

Usually she's a great manager.

My theory about this: Managers aren't the ones on the front lines getting screamed at 24/7. Usually they're the ones called up to the front so they can overide every rule and get the SC what they want.

So basically that's all they know. They don't know what it's like to get verbally beaten everyday on the job and their only knowledge of the business is that customers get whatever they heck they want regardless of how outrageous it is. They happen to be the customers every once in a while.
