I was 20 when my first kid was hatched (it's her birthday today!) and my ex-wife's a year younger than I am... but I'd been tending kids all my remembering days (8 younger sibs), so I was pre-repaired.
And this would be the example of getting practice before having one of your own.

Since I was about 12, I didn't want to have kids. Sure I babysat and what not, but I got paid for it and it was only for a few hours. My saying about this stuff is always, "I love kids, mainly because they're not mine. Once they start crying or throwing a tantrum, I hand them back to their parents and step aside." I truly don't want kids, but something tells me I will have them anyway. My bf feels the same way thankfully. If we have some, ok we have some. Let's take care of them teogether and make sure they turn out as good people. If we don't, then lets go see the world!
I don't think I'd be able to handle it financially. With the way the economy is, we can barely take care of ourselves! Plus, with the way the world has turned out so far, I really DON'T want to bring a kid into the world. So much stuff to worry about, it's not worth putting the kid through hell, which will then lead them to becoming a terrible person, or having them develop mental disorders (like me, sorta). If the world gets a little better, then I may consider it. We'll just have to wait and see.
Just because they serve you, doesn't mean they like you. And just because they smile and act polite doesn't mean they aren't planning to destroy you.

Me: yes, because you're sitting and arguing with me about the subject when your child is playing ontop of the tables, about ready to fall off.
        ultimate pwnage!

but seriously someone starts grabbing my stomach they'll find that i don't mind throwing their hands off of me.

hell i've done it to people who know me! coworker decided to push me at a guy she felt i should hook up with (regardless of my lack of interest). she was VERY offended when i twisted and threw her hands off of me.

but she never tried pushing me at someone again either so yay

Having prior experience with raising kids (I played a huge role in raising Munchkin, my little sister), I feel I will be able to handle kids. Would I be able to handle them now at the age of 18? HELL NO. I'm in the years where I can be selfish and have fun. I saw what having kids young did to my mother and I will not put my children through that.

I have also told my gay friends that if they want a baby of their own, I would be more than happy to provide egg and womb for them and still be a part of their baby's life. If any of my gal friends need a surrogate mother, I would be more than happy to do so for them.

I had my big guy when I was 22 and married, but I still heard all about me being an unwed teen mother from old women who thought I was 15.

Anyway, my friend is in her 40s and never had children, I don't know why, it's none of my business. We had a coworker ask her if she hated children. I told the coworker that indeed my friend hated children and often came to my house to beat on my children. The coworker was so stupid she actually believed it. Now that is an inside joke between my friend and myself.

Flea-Bit and I will be adopting. Because MPreg only happens in fanfiction.
For now RW. My dream will become a reality one day and then I'll have kids (when I'm not the one who has to bear them)
How was I supposed to know someone was slipping you Birth Control in the food I've been making for you lately?

I can't believe she grabbed you! ICK! I'm actually preparing myself for the (very distant future) day that I'm pregnant and some random stranger grabs on my belly. Family and friends are, of course, a different story. But if someone I don't know from a bar of soap comes up to me and is manhandling my body? I'm sorry, but there will be a smacked hand and a lecture for that person!!!!!

Anyone who touched me like that would indeed get a smack; the bubble is sacred.

Incidentally, I have faked pregnancy when it suited me; in other words, when there was a mile long queue for the ladies at a service station and I was busting for the loo. Well, any other girl would have done the same.

heh. one of the women in my church choir is almost due.
so when it comes to the bathroom line, i make a point of letting her go first. especially since she's been getting tired w/ sore ankles.

but even though i know her and know she's pregnant... i'd never touch her belly

much better to just be kind and do little things like giving her head-of-the-line for the loo, or making sure she has a chair in the choir loft etc.

                    =)

Well, come to think of it, if there wasn't it'd be pretty boring, now wouldn't it?

Or, at the very least, it'd be done WRONG.

Side note, Plaid, are you trying to take over Sheldon's title as Punmaster?? If so, best of luck to you! This should be interesting to watch....
