Me: Okay..so I think I get why Zoro wears a bandana
    DDD: Cuz it's cool

So, by using the Doctor's reasoning, bow ties, fezzes and bandanas are cool.

Me: Ok, no problem, I can move it. I just didn't want to live it in the middle of the aisle and cause a barricade that people can't get around?
COB: You watch your mouth!!! You have NO RIGHT to pass judgment on me or anyone else?!?!
She thought you were dissing her because you took the time to not do what she did. And it's obvious that she knew she was in the way, or she wouldn't have gotten so pissy about having it pointed out.

One trip to the store without attracting crazy in Texas? It can't be done!
        Quoth lupo pazzesco View Post
Normally, I'd take that as a challenge...but given the mountain of evidence against me...? I think you're right...
See? It's not you, it's Texas that has the problem. Which I've known about for years. Wackiest time in my life was the year (exactly) that I lived in El Paso.

And, unfortunately, a lot of them spend time on vaca her in NM.... >.<

I'm still on a quest to find a 0 calorie soda that's either not sweetened with aspartame (gives me headaches!) or that doesn't taste like crap.
          Diet RC?

Maybe you need to get someone to do your grocery shopping FOR you.

Have you tried Hansen's? Haven't myself, but I hear that they are pretty good.

On one hand I would like to offer my services and growl at people to keep them away from you. I'm 6'4" and can be a little intimidating.

On the other hand, I would like to watch you in action.

Are you sure that other non-cal sweeteners won't give you the same headache? My husband gets them from any non caloric sweetener, including stevia. (I personally think that it's also that he's worried about gaining weight, and therefore is very against the non-caloric sweeteners, but he is in the ~5-10% that can't have sucralose).

The rootbeer isn't so hot, neither is the ginger-ale. The tangerine and the lemon-lime is passable, though.

And lacks caffeine, which is why I don't drink it anymore. I used to drink PepsiEdge but it didn't go over well with the rest of the US.

Diet Pepsi and Diet Coke and Diet Dr. Pepper all have aspartame in it. Used to be able to find a Diet 7-Up that had Splenda in it rather than aspartame but that turned out to be a regional thing (found it in Alabama and it made its way up to the south-eastern part of TN but never saw it outside of there).

EQ can't have any diet soda (Apartame makes us both mean as snakes and she can taste the Splenda, can't recall what she thinks of the Stevia) so she sticks with having as little soda as possible.

I wanted to like Stevia, I really did. But I hate that stuff unless the drink it's in is near-freezing.

Have y'all tried Blue Sky soda? I drink the regular soda and it's really good.

I haven't tried the diet, but I need to walk over to Sunflower in a bit. I'll get a can, see how it tastes, and let you know.

You can get it just about anywhere in the state. Actually, it looks like the only states you can't get it are North & South Dakota, Wyoming, and Mississippi.

                        Here's the web site:

Hmm, can't seem to get it in Corpus nor Hospitality Way. I'll have to write down the stores in ABQ and send EQ on a quest to get some next time she goes up.

I use splenda to sweeten my iced tea and to bake with, and it doesn't give me headaches like aspertame does. RW, I'll have to remember diet RC, thanks. Diet Rite I've had, and it's tasty, but I'm able to have caffeine again, and I need that little extra jolt sometimes.

bainsidhe: Yes, only eight items but they were VITAL items!!! I'm not talking sour cream, either. Toilet paper, milk, conditioner. Kind of important...

Do you happen to shop at Freaky Foods? I remember it as being a Kroger in the Montrose area.
