I'll be honest, I'm not the greatest bar-maid in the world (though I have done less than 10 shifts in my life so far) so the most sophisticated mixed drink I make is a gin and tonic. I do however work in an old man's pub where they drink pints of bitter from hand pump, so it doesn't matter too much if I don't know the fancier stuff. I was asked to make a Lager Top the other week, and I asked the customer what it was, he told me, he got his drink, it's all good.

However, I don't give someone the wrong thing and tell them it's something it's not. They know booze better than I do, if I screw up, I screw up then fix it

Next time you're in that bar, ask the bartender for a Bloody Mary. Be sure and take pics of the aftermath.

My husband has some of those ice rocks. He loves 'em.

Back when I used to drink, I always had to explain my favorite drink to the bartender, since it is seriously obscure. It's called a "humbug". Two parts butterscotch schnapps, one part peppermint schnapps. (And no ice, which I would have thought would be the default if you don't say "on the rocks" but I've had it handed to me over ice before, which rather baffled and confused me.)

for those of you with a sweet tooth, try this:

1 cup hot chocolate (in a slightly larger than normal mug)
            1 shot kaluha
            1 shot bailey's
top with whipped cream and enjoy.

Hey, I like my scotch on the rocks too. Of course my idea of "rocks" are 4 or 5 cubes of frozen granite.
(Yes, I know these are soapstone. I got mine as a gift and they a different set.)
I got those for hubby for Christmas.

                Drink recipe:

                Dirty Girl Scout:

*Squirt chocolate syrup in your mouth
*Take a shot of Peppermint Schnapps
                *Swish around and Swallow.
*Repeat 2-3 x an hour as needed
