Plus they SUSPENDED her. That right there in my opinion should have revoked their right to use her license. ... I mean by law, if she's suspended from the establishment how can they have any claim to her license?
Agreed as a suspension is a temporary cessation of employment with the possibility (not guarantee) of being allowed to come back to work at a later date.

So by suspending her, she and her license also becomes suspended.

I would have done things differently but only to be a real asshole. I would have taken the suspension, called the board informing them that until such time as the suspension is lifted you are not employed there and as such the establishment no longer has an active employee with a license.

THEN I would have called the boss and informed him that the license is likewise suspended until such time as he relents and lifts the suspension. And when he does I'd sit him down and discuss things with him from the position of "I can shut your ass down unless you stop acting like a total fucking twat."

And if he refused...then I'd quit.

But I'm an asshole when riled up. Personally I applaud her and her actions. She quit when the place of business became too much of a stressor to her and calling the board was something that she legally had to do.

It's not her fault that the boss decided to chase away the only person who had the only license to sell booze. The fact that she held that license in no way meant that she was chained to the facility for life.
I never lost my faith in humanity. Can't lose what you never had right?

      Agreed.

No matter what the circumstances of their employment (Licence holder, only qualified driver, only person who knows the password to the computer system etc etc) no-one should feel obligated to stay somewhere that makes them miserable.

The sad thing is i can imagine the jerk that caused her to quit bitching to all and sundry about her, saying how she "just up and quit for no reason" and "Left [them] in the lurch".

      Or maybe i'm just cynical.
