An in law of mine works for one of the local power companies. Yesterday a car hit and took down 2 power poles that took out the power for a lot of people. The people living near would come up and ask how long the power would be out. When told it would be several hours to restore power they would yell that he was ruining Christmas, not the idiot that caused the problem but him.

We had a bit of a windstorm, and as I was watching the lights flicker, I thought "Hmm...if we lose power, we won't be able to cook the ham, and we'll have to play board games instead of video games. Oh well." My very next thought was "Damn, some poor power company guy has to go out in this weather and work on Christmas. That sucks. But whoever it is rocks and I love them."
Really, why would you blame the people trying to restore power? They're not the Grinches. They're the f***ing Christmas saviours!Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

"What? It's Christmas? Shit, I forgot. I'm off home. I'll come back after my break to fix up your lines. What's that? You want it fixed now? You're ruining my Christmas!"Quoth pitmonkey View PostAn in law of mine works for one of the local power companies.
